Does anyone use this for cheap advertising and promoting their products or businesses?
Was told a while back that it's the way to go, Twitter and Facebook, and have recently started to give it a go to the best of my ability which isn't much, but slowly seems to be working.

Friends of mine run a holiday place in Somerset and where doing OK, but always seemed to have empty cabins when other places were full.
I told them to go on Facebook and just send a mail to all previous and forthcoming guests with a link. Within six months they were getting more cold equiries than they had ever had all because a friend of a friend had seen them on Facebook.

I am currently doing my dissertation on marketing through social media, seems to be the way to go at the moment. Very cheap and you can target existing and potential customers with ease. |

Also, it acts as word of mouth which is the best sort of advertising. They've got those poxy ads on facebook which say crap like so and so likes whatever
