Was based in Sennelager a few years back and their is still a cobblers mug in my old workshop brew area that i left behind.

The local Gastatte on 'The Strip' used to be called 'The 'Cobblers' with team photo's and scarves inside.  Wink
Changed it's name quite a few years back though.

Driving just outside Southampton last week,  the car in front had a Cobblers sticker in the window, made me smile  Smiley
Interesting stuff seen; Drove past Abbey rd, near St Johns Wood today, where they still have a working pelican crossing for some reason!

Driving down the A25 between Dunkirk and Lille yesterday, I passed a strange looking farmhouse with loads of brightly painted cannons and tanks outside and with aircraft on its roof:

The children always look out for it - it seems to be sort of artists commune.

I've been out in the countryside today and the French seem to get loads more mistletoe than we do. These trees have only a fraction of some of those that I have seen today:

In all fairness, they are in a retreating position and they have a white flag permanently flying over the building.

I don't know if it counts as unusual for this time of year, but yesterday I saw some reindeer:

Well actually, it was these ones in the town centre at the Christmas Market:

Today I have walked down through the "famous" Bingley 5-Rise Locks as they have been emptied of water to replace the lock gates:

I live along the road from them.  Usually they look like this:

Spring has arrived today.  On my way around the moor today, I have seen the birds coming back for the first time this year - curlews, lapwings and oyster catchers.

I've seen my first new born little baby lambs:

And best of all, I've got three splodges of frogspawn in my pond:
