Warrington Town are gearing up for their opening game of the season, an all ticket clash at home to the reformed Chester FC, by hammering Moore United 4-0 on thursday night.

In much the same way as we have taken Courtney Herbert from non league, I expect Wire striker Chris Gaghan to be snapped up at some point.

Newport Pagnell Town beat a very youthful Milton Keynes Dons side 4-1 although the locals were somewhat miffed as bigger names were expected to show on the day Tongue

A fairly successful preseason so far for Boston, they beat Grimsby Town in their opener (1-0) and followed up with wins over Grantham and Sheffield FC.....a blip followed on Tuesday night with a defeat at Stamford.

Newport Pagnell Town beat Banbury Town 1-0 last night.

After last seasons cup finals the locals are expecting a good season especially as most of the squad has stayed over the Summer.

Boston United progressed into the final of the Lincolnshire Senior Shield with a 2-1 win at Gainsborough Trinity this afternoon.
Trinity had a few familiar names in their side, Paul Mayo, Jefferson Louis, Luke Beckett and a certain Sam Aiston!!!!

Last of the pre-season friendlies saw Hitchin go down 4-3 at home to Bedford. They kick off the season next week at Rugby as 7/2 favourites to win the League

Boston won their first league game in the Blue Square North with a 1-0 victory over Stafford Rangers in front of a healthy crowd of 1,604.
They've followed that up tonight with a 1-0 win at Hinckley in their second league game.

The Wire (Warrington Town) kick off their campaign on Saturday with a trip to Yorkshire and Ossett Albion.

The last time these two teams met, Wire won 2-1 having given away a last minute penalty to the Albion whose striker then scuffed his penalty wide. A very exciting game last time out but what will happen on Saturday?
