We'll i'd say the chances of this player coming here is firmly dead in the water, if you don't get the man at the second time of asking, forget it, but to have had a third bid rejected ...just move on!

It wasnt three knock backs though, we made an offer for Turnbull that got accepted, they then had a change of mind only to reluctantly let him move on days later. It sounds in the case of Jamille Matt, we've just not pushed the boat out far enough to get him, which would be typical in leaving another club to nab him at the first attempt from under our wings - same old story.

Relax - this is a player most of us hadn't even heard of yesterday so he can't be all that...and maybe they just want way too much money for him.

If we can't afford him let's just move on and let someone else buy him.
It just makes the club look tinpot when skysports news reports we have had three bids turned down.

Completely agree. AB obviously values him at a certain level, this doesn't match Kidderminster's valuation, that's not to say either is in the wrong. As it stands I'd imagine our interest isn't heavy enough to match what may/may not be an extortionate asking price.

Just like Reading looked 'tinpot' when their Jacobs approaches were turned down?

Perhaps now it's been made public, the player may now put in a transfer request or state he's not signing a new contract with Kiddy, so it would be in their best interest to sell him now.....

Well their chairman has said we have made three derisory offers that are nowhere near their valuation so I wouldn't hold out any hope.

Their valuation is probably ludicrous. Remember Halifax saying Jamie Vardy would go for nothing less than £250k and then he went for something like £50k!

Kidderminster would be lucky to get £50k for Matt in my opinion.

And there you have it... well out of the reckoning then, they now wouldnt be able to take our interest with much credibility at all.

I think Dover & AFC Wimbledon said the same thing when Gillingham approached then for Birchalll & Kedwell. Look where they ended up.....

Do any of you think he's good enough for league 2 even though he scored 11 goals in 22 games.
For me thats not the best record so when he steps into league 2 he just won't be able to cut it.
Someone like jamie vardy would be perfect and why on gods earth did we let go of Harrad and Mckenzie.

A goal ever two games is a fantastic record for a striker. How is that evidence at all that he couldn't make the step up?

Fleetwood will be paying Vardy more than we, and most League Two clubs, could afford.

Harrad looked poor while he was here and has failed to net in 14 matches for Bury. McKenzie was crocked, confirmed by his retirement last week.

This chap looks a decent prospect, it's good to see the club are making active moves in the market even if we don't necessarily land him.

Has it occured to anyone that this guy is Guinan's strike partner and hasn't scored that many more than him?

Harriers want six figures for him. I'm assuming we'll be moving on to other targets then.
