As many of you are aware Darlington have recently gone into administration. I took a look on their forums and stumbled across this truly fantastic post by one of their supporters which is one of the most inspirational things I have ever read: http://www.darlofc.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=15733I know the situations we are completely different, I still think some of us Cobblers fans could take a lot from this, especially the prawn sandwich brigade in the West Stand!

Reading this post made me well up. Frightening to think a club like Darlo are on the brink. Just shows how skewed our game has got - with the greedy ***** in the Prem wanting ever more.

In defence of the prem, they have a product that people want. Nobody wants anything Leagues 1 and down have to offer or the grounds would be more than 40-50% full each week.

That is a great post though, isn't it? As great as it is though, the best thing about it is seeing the reaction it prompted from football fans everywhere. Collectively we get a bit of bad press now and then but it just goes to show there is a bit of football community spirit out there.

The administrators terminated all the contracts today and have until Wednesday to find a buyer.

Well done Darlo fans for delivering a lifeline for the club. It might only be a temporary reprieve but fair play to them for not giving up and fighting to the last to keep their club going.

The league is as only as strong as its weakest members. I believe that the financial regulation and adminsitration of football should be taken out of the hands of the inept FA and football League untill which time they can do their jobs properly. Port Vale will be next

Darlington are not in the Football League, Port Vale well may be next, but dont be surprised if the Cobblers end up the same.

Good to see the fans backing the club in their hour of need..... 5638 against Fleetwood a couple of weeks ago and 6413 against York on Saturday. Crucial week for them this week though if they are to survive for much longer.
