Ditto. I remember many of here arguing the opposite though. Done his time blah blah blah. I also remember the notts fans loving him when we scored against us...would love to see them go down now. What comes around goes around.

What he did was unforgivable. If he'd just had a crash and people had died as a result I might actually feel sorry for him. If the same had happened after he'd been drinking then obviously less so, but at least if he'd fronted up and faced his actions I might be able to accept he'd just made a terrible, terrible mistake. To bottle it completely and run away, leaving people to die though? Is unconscionable.
Playing football for a living is a privilege and, like it or not, whether they want it or not, players are role models for kids. The fact that any club would choose to hold someone like this up as a representative for them sickens me to the stomach. If he did end up playing for us I genuinely would think twice about going to our matches while he was here. That might sound like a bit of a drama queen style overreaction but I couldn't bring myself to cheer any goals he scored and cheering any team success built on his goals would just be hypocritical.
