A positive article from the Selby Times. Apparently Bryon Webster is "happy as Larry" (Grayson?) down south at the Cobblers under new Manager Eddie (who he?) Boothroyd Load of Cobblers for big defender Former Doncaster Rovers player Byron Webster is now setting up home in the south and on the road to recovery following an injury sustained in October. The big defender broke a metatarsal in his foot and afterwards had to undergo an operation to have it pinned, but until then was making regular appearances for League Two side Northampton Town after a lean spell nearer home. Speaking from his South ****ord home, dad Billy said he had bought a house with girlfriend Kate, they were getting married in July and that he was as “happy as Larry”. The former Sherburn High School pupil, who made a stunning start for Rovers before being forced off with an injury in a derby tie with Sheffield United, seems now to be settled at the Cobblers after initially joining them on loan last March. And since signing a two-year contract at the end of last season, his new club – now under Eddie Boothroyd – have benefited from the towering centre-back’s superb reading of the game. Turning 25 this spring, Byron learnt his trade at Leeds United before moving on to York City and Harrogate Town, and then serving a three-year contract with FK SIAD Most, a top side in the Czech Republic for whom he made 64 appearances and scored five goals. And he joined Rovers on his return in August 2009 following a trial in which he impressed manager Sean O’Driscoll Published on Wednesday 1 February 2012 06:25 http://www.selbytimes.co.uk/sport/football/load_of_cobblers_for_big_defender_1_4178329
