NTFC Bootboys! What he means is, wear socks with your sandals and attach little bells to your legs. Bring your own tankards with your name (Moulton Ultras) engraved on it.

Does anyone know if an under 18 concession is being offered? On the site it jumps straight from 16 & under to adult prices, which I think is a tad unfair considering I'm 17 and not yet an adult, and that my situation is no different from when I were 16, still at school and little money.

Apparently not, a bit annoying because like you say until you've finished school and sixth form and got to Uni or got a full-time job you're not gonna have any more money than you did when you were 15 or 16 and qualified for the concessions. I think our club has realised that the jump from £6 to £15 with a membership was too much of a jump for a 17/18 year old which is why they've changed the Under 16 concession to Under 18 this season. Clearly at Liverpool, people are willing to pay through the nose, and £20 is probably a cheap ticket at Anfield in fairness. You've still got to go though, really, even if it means missing out on other games. You can't miss out on going to Anfield for the sake of 7 or 8 quid, we might not play there again in decades. I'm happy to spend £20 on this occasion; it's half what NTFC charged for Man U tickets after all.

I don't know how others feel but this whole game, possibly the biggest of the decade, has been ruined by the action of our club who see it as a cash cow, nothing more, nothing less. Unlike Fenners, I will go, even if I have to go in the Liverpool end just to put a tick in the box next to "Seen the Cobblers at Anfield". However I can no longer say I'm looking forward to it.

Spot on!!! To a certain extent it should be a cash cow, every lower league team dreams of a big payday at a top club, both for the fans for the experience, and for the chairman as a revenue earner....its what we do with that "windfall", unbudgeted as it is, that matters. But like you Marvo, I just dont see why the club feels the need to screw, or at least attempt to screw even more money than the unexpected windfall out of the average football fan.....yeah I know other clubs do it....but it doesnt make it morally right! I'll go too......NTFC havent played Liverpool in my lifetime, and maybe never will again! But i'm not at all happy I've got to drag myself and my son to the game against Southend just so as I can guarantee a ticket.

I couldn't give a fcuk about this game....
If I get a ticket I will go. If I don't I won't.
All this thread achieves is to show how pathetic and reactive our tinpot support is.
Barring a miracle the whole thing will be pathetic anyway... Liverpool will throw out a combination of reserves and youth teamers, in front of a barely enthusiastic crowd. And to top this our support will regale the assembled masses with a series of songs that Anfield last heard circa 1980.
As for the self-righteous attitude of the season ticket holders. How the fcuk does that work..?
Half of you are so fcuking tight that you are prepared to sit in a shed at one of the ground. Where you can't see half of what's going on, and haven't got a clue which way the ball has been kicked, just so you can dish out a lesson in moral fibre to those that will contribute more than you over the season.
Here's my plan...
West and East stand season ticket holders. 2 tickets and first served.
North stand (plastic) season ticket holders. 1 ticket and served second.
General sale...
Solved.......
Me and my mates who go choose to sit in the north stand because we would much rather sit behind the goal even though we could have got our season tickets in the west for exactly the same price. How you can call anyone who supports a league 2 club a plastic fan is beyond me, and as for west standers getting Liverpool tickets first, that's a worse idea than what the club are doing now. If you don't give a **** then stop moaning and don't go. Sorry for getting excited that cobblers are playing at anfield.

I have got a season ticket in the North stand with my two boys. The reason I chose the North stand was purely financial. It cost me £400 for my season ticket and my two boys tickets. I like sitting in the West stand upper because the view is better but it would have cost me nearly £600 for the same season tickets. Some of us can't afford the best seats and have to chose cheap seats or no seats. I chose the cheap seats because I love NTFC and want to be there for every home game if that makes me a 'plastic fan' then I'm guilty as charged.

I love the town too Abington. And sit in the North Stand for financial reasons. The main reason being I'm not enough of a mug to shell out an extra 200 quid to watch the same thing from a different angle.

Ever since I started watching football at 12, I was always behind the goal. It was a local side, Grantham Town, then managed by Martin O'Neil. I was unable to get to Northampton, so had my fix with them. There was no price difference, but there was always a sense of excitement as your team was attacking towards you. There you could change ends at half time, without a line of opposing fans walking past each other. At Sixfields that experience only happens for one half, but it's the team I love. IF THAT MAKES ME A PLASTIC FAN THEN SO BE IT, JUST BECAUSE IT'S CHEAPER, DOESN'T MAKE ME ANY LESS OF A LOYAL FAN.

Why are people trying to justify where they sit. It's entirely your choice and you sit where you want. You shouldn't give a **** what someone else has to say.
Also Liverpool tickets will be behind the goal. Does that mean some people wont go because of the view?
