Title: Accrington - Burton
Post by: guest48 on February 25, 2015, 09:47:56 am
Last nights game attracted the massive attendance of 919. I'm pretty sure if we were in Burtons position we would have took 6-700 up there, Burton took 93 and its half the distance for them compared to us.
I know there was Man C v Barca on the telly but its still a p*ss poor turnout from both sets of fans.

Accrington Stanley - The Club that wouldn't die! Well, it amazes me that they manage to sustain their league position on such gates. They've had a TOTAL attendance this season of 22,763 (average 1423), Portsmouth in the same league have a total eleven times higher yet they sit side by side in the league table with the same number of points!

As for Burton....they've never travelled well, but 93? Top of the league on a 12 game unbeaten run, you're right....p1ss poor!!

To me it looks like Accrington are going to struggle to survive, if they go bust I wouldn't miss them.

I'd be surprised at 600+ on a weeknight

I think we took that many the first season Accrington were in the League and that was a Tuesday, we won 3-0.  I would miss them if they went bust, they must be the most friendly group of fans in the league even after the 5-1 we still had a good craic in the Crown .

August is a very different proposition to February!

True, but if we were top I really do think we would take those numbers.
