I myself bet for a living and have had shares in various jumps horses(point to point/NH). It's actually lots cheaper than you'd imagine and loads of fun. The current horse for example would cost £220 for a 10%!share(you actually own 10% rather than lots of syndicates where you lease the horse,by owning the share you get 10% of any sell on). The training fees are roughly £25 a week paid monthly. The first horse I syndicated last season won twice and was second on four other occasions from eight runs. The races are usually Sunday so it rarely interferes with the football and runs from November to June. At £25 a week it's actually cheaper than a night down the pub and I find it loads of fun and a great excuse to get out at the weekends in the countryside and make new friends(and hopefully win a few bob) If any cobblers fans are interested pm me and il get back to you.(you must be over 18 and under 120).
