Title: Jimmys post match comments
Post by: Shoemaker on December 30, 2017, 19:05:30 pm
I find it rather telling that three hours after the match the club hasn’t put jimmys opinion of the match on its twitter site.
I guess they find it a bit embarrassing and want to save him from negative comments!!
Has it really come to this....

Bit on the chron site has him saying he does not want to blame the ref but then spends the whole article blaming the ref...

Shambles from top to bottom...

it's so sad to think that a few seasons ago we won league 2, and now look where we are, meekly surrendering our league 1 status without any fight what so ever, back to league 2 again.  I would like to think that there is plenty of time yet, and we can still stay up, and we still can, but I'm not seeing anything right now, to suggest that we have it in us to stay up.  feel very sorry for the fans that made the effort to go to Portsmouth today and paid their hard earned money to watch a team give up and not even try to make a fist of it.
there are just over 4 months of the season left, and that means plenty of time to get out of this, (look at what Plymouth are doing now, and they looked doomed at one stage) but in order for this to happen, some serious changed need to be made, and someone to really get this team motivated and up and running, I'm just not sure we have the right an in charge to do this.....

Did he sign up to a club that he thought were heavily backed by foreign investors only to find out differently?
Don't ask for any clarification around these parts, its all suppositions guess work and mystery.

No idea mate. He was alluding to something not yet being sorted a couple of post match reports or so ago, so I thought maybe he'd had more to say on the subject. I haven't heard any of his post Pompey moans.
You could be right.
The lure of a false promise of big foreign bucks.

Only a few days to go before we know the answer.

It does make you wonder if there is something fundamentally wrong at the club.
We have good players but they are not a team .
It seems there is something wrong somewhere .
I have heard it’s a very intense environment under JFH.
Maybe there should be more encouragement to relax and let the players play .

Isn't the problem that fundamentally they are "good" players but not a "team". Happens loads in football.

That's correct, a group of talented players rarely make a good team. You need a mix with a good sprinkling of leaders and grafters who will stop at nothing to get a result. Scunny are a good example, okay they do have quality and pace also but they are a resolute team and know how to get results. How many times this season have they been thrashed??

Only thing I ever hear from JFH are cliché sounbite ridden comments that anyone could say! Don't think I've ever heard anything that tangibly relates to the specific game and tactics!

"We erm, need more energy..." zzzzzz!

Because of that, have stopped listening tbh. Maybe I'm missing some nuggets!

I just hope Notts Forest don't come calling for JFH 🤔😂😂

He says we’ve got to be more consistent.....which is weird because in that respect he’s doing pretty well....we are consistently crap!!

I think he pays too much attention to the opposition and subsequently keeps changing the side .
On different occasions , Waters , Foley , Smith , McGugan , Poole and McWilliams have played well only to find themselves dropped or in a changed position the very next game .
What confidence can that give the players ?

That is the top and bottom of it; looking at all of the signings that were made since the summer transfer window opened, I wouldn't say any of them are bad players, in fact I'd rate most of them as good players, they just happen to make a lousy team. I think a lot of the issues stem from Melville/JED running amok like a child in a sweetshop when the Chinese money became available, signing every decent player that became available without looking at how they'd fit into the overall team or even if they played in a position that we needed extra competition for.
