Some cricket, hoping to see the Steelbacks make a good fist of the T20. Aah, 2016, the year I saw the Cobblers lift the League Two trophy and the County lift the T20 trophy. What a year. I should have known the glory wouldn't  last long.
And some time without football to re-charge the batteries - we've got the World Cup to 'enjoy' though.

Spending 3 weeks in August driving from San Francisco to Seattle via the Oregon coast. Before that some cricket.

You are very lucky? If you can do an article on yr drive can get it published in a car mag. Must be about 200 words max. Even better if you can select/hire a BMW as they are freely available in USA at competitive rates!!

I'm going to buy some energy drinks and pringles. Then I'll sit down on my sofa and start the redevelopment thread from the beginning.

How big is your sofa? What if you get an unexpected amount of visitors whilst munching on your Pringles, will it be able to accommodate them all...or do you have safe standing in the kitchen?

I'm about a year in (2013). We have £10m to spend and all the fans are arguing about how much we should increase capacity by... can't wait to see how the next 5 years of this thread develops.

Thank you all. In retrospect, the Balti pies were perhaps an over indulgence.

Could you confirm if/when you get to it that i did indeed cast doubt on the idea that a Cadoza owned company do the work? I'm sure I said this but I've never been able to find the actual post on my (fairly short) looks for it

Title: Re: Close Season Activities

I'll keep an eye out for it.

On the positives, I did see the last time Beds posted something reasonable:

I believe they've gone back to the drawing board to re think the plans, as they stand we will not be in a position to get promoted out of the lower divisions and shows very poor return on a £15,000,000 investment to leave a town of 230,000 with a tiny little ground still not fit for purpose.

I just hope the experts behind this project don't serve up a shiite sandwich on a broken plate!

Time for a question and answer session.

My 1st Question, When will we developed the ground to achieve our aspirations of playing in the championship, or must we hope to be a Yeovil and fly by the bones of our arrses.

2nd.. I know as a mere fan of this club and therefore shouldn't question the proposed development, but I would love to know how the club will make money from the hotel? Is it a one off payment, a little annual rent or a decent % per rooms occupancy.

3/ Are the council overseeing the spend to make sure the Town and club get the absolute most benefit from this once in a lifetime brilliant wind fall.

4/ Am I the only one out side the loop or is there zero transparency and no one has a Scooby what's happening or proposed.

If only the council listened and oversaw the spend....

I'm a hip replacement specialist, unfortunately July is a very busy month so I doubt I shall get much time off.

T20 cricket starts at the Ceynty Greynd this week in glorious weather, with a derby match against Leicestershire followed by big guns Notts. Hope to see some fellow Cobblers there. I'll be on the look out for those of you in the new yellow away kit! There'll be one I'm sure.

Yep, popped along to a couple of weekend days of 4 dayers, a 50 over game and an evening of the pink ball day/nighter. We seem to be building momentum at the right time for T20. It's coming home!
