Title: Bob Johnson
Post by: Sadman on September 05, 2018, 08:36:02 am
I'm not sure if this is the done thing on this forum which I've just joined. I'm a Kettering fan and Board member but I have had a long time very good friend living in Derbyshire called Bob Johnson. Bob passed away last night aged 64. He had suffered from MS for a long time but always was an ardent fan of the Cobblers, which led to many long conversations about football. Despite his illness he always got someone to take him to away games in the north when he was able and generally got welcomed by clubs into the disabled section. At one time he was well known at the Cobblers and the club looked after him when he visited. I believe he contributed to the match programme and possibly a fanzine on occasion and older fans may remember him. His dad,Jim,survives him and still lives in Northampton. Thanks for allowing this post.

A well written obituary - as always the passing of a Cobblers fan is always a reflective moment especially on one so young.
