Turnbull (what was Austin doing?) Foley as industrious as ever.

Some good performances today - Pierre, Facey, Cornell and again Foley all had very good games in a decent all round performance, but Turnbull was my pick of the bunch. Hope he keeps his place.

Turnbull

Cornell two excellent stops.  Foley and JJOT industrious.  Facey good too.  Have to add McWilliams because we stopped playing the moment he came off.

A couple of excellent early saves by Cornell, Turnbull and Pierre both good when they settled into the game, but my man of the match was JJOT who seemed to have recovered his old spark

Foley for Mr,  head and shoulders above the rest. Turnbull and Cornell not too far behind

Ash Taylor's non appearance significantly meant a better, more steadied performance at the heart of defence, he talks a good game. was a teacher's pet to Hasselbaink and Austin but perhaps now the penny has dropped and he has been found out to be what he is - overrated.

Foley is our Mr Consistent this season, every game he is good,Turnbull as others have said played well and if he can do it every game will keep his place,Certainly more comfortable on the ball than other centre backs we have.Cornell's 2 early saves kept us in the game, but for the first time thia season i will go for O'Toole who was involved from start to finish and looked sharper than i have seen for a long time.

Another vote for O'Toole from me. The team is so much better with him firing on most cylinders! In a season so far of average appearances by him, Saturdays performance was so much better.

I put the improved defensive performances down to Keith Curle more than individual players. We've looked much more solid in both games since he arrived - and Taylor played in the first of those, by the way.

Lets see then if my thoughts on Taylor are born out if Curle brings him back into the team, I am well aware that Taylor played against Bury but so what,  interesting to see that so far no one has said exactly what the injuries are to Taylor and Barnett

Has to be Turnbull.
Shame because if Cornell's two saves had been in the last ten minutes instead of the first ten, he would have probably run away with it.
