We're ball number 30. I presume it's a completely open draw, not regional or seeded in any way? Anyone at home will do but not a fellow League Two club.

2 very poor sides at home in rounds 1 and 2 and Tottenham away in round 3 at the unveiling of their new ground.
Not bothered who we get in the 4th round.

I would have thought you would have liked to have seen us drawn away in rounds 1 and 2 to clubs with a capacity larger than our poxy little one?

Its an irritating place as well. In fact, its an irritating county. Ive never really enjoyed, away days at Lincoln, Sc***horpe, or Grimsby.
Boston wasnt too bad, but those days are long gone.

Crap draw. Ive been to watch us at Lincoln 10 times and never seen us win. Wins there are rare. This isn't a tie that whets the appetite.

Title: Re: F A CUP DRAW
Post by: Air-Dan on October 22, 2018, 21:48:26 pm
From a selfish point of view quite happy with that. I've not been there before, only £10 for a train ticket from Leicester and no doubt they will cut the match ticket price to £10-12 in an attempt to attract supporters.

If it's a crap away day I will skip the league encounter later in the season (which I had planned on attending)... if it's good then even better, double the fun!

We've avoided defeat there on our last three visits....two draws before our most recent game at Sincil Bank, a 2-0 win in 2010. Before that though you have to go back to 1992 to find another win.
We've played them 53 times in total, 15 wins to us, 14 to them and 24 draws.......3 wins for us, 12 draws and 11 defeats at their place.

We've played them 26 times away from home and only won 3 times. We've played them 27 times at home and only lost 3 times!!

Good chance for us to progress I think. Hopefully hit a bit of form in the next few games; team bottom of the league away tonight then three straight home games against teams in the bottom half of the tabale and Fulham's kids. And hope Lincoln rest some players with promotion their main goal. Why shoudln't we cause an upset?

It will be a home sell out a full price so I wouldnt rely on a cheap ticket. Should shoehorn the full 9.8k in tonight against Carlisle as we lose a couple of hundred off the 10.1k for segregation and gantry  :afro Think Cobblers will be offered the whole of Stacey West but we will then sell the other half if you only want 750 or below

I very much doubt that it would sell out at full price, it's a whole new ball game when ST holders have to shell out extra cash and think that they will be watching a "reserve" game.

Well in the interests of fair play  ...seems like neither team is interested in Saturdays game- we still have several thousand tickets for sale and seems you are struggling to sell yours too as only 250 sold so far - Predictathon suggests a gate around 6k which may be our lowest for a proper (non CT match) since Woking at home in the National League in Feb 2017 (a paltry 5553 including 2 men and a dog from Woking)....maybe a coin-toss to see who goes through and a week off to let all the injuries subside may have been better  ;D >:D

Really poor if true, despite it being against a fellow L2 side, thought it'd be at least double that.  Magic of the Cup, no?

The so called big clubs started this problem by picking reserve teams and f***ing it up for everyone apart from themselves. They have devalued all cup competitions apart from the Champions League. Next stop, full blown breakaway European league for the super rich mega s***bags

There's no necessity to buy in advance - £15 on the day, with no chance of a sellout (from either side!). An initial 750 allocation which can easily be increased should the need arise.

I always buy away tickets in advance, not for Lincoln though. Suspect a lot will do the same...predict 590 Cobblers. Think it would be nearer double if it wasn't for the fact that we all have the opportunity to visit again later in the season!

Hope they do, interest in the EFL may rise and the super clubs could go down the toilet, especially if the tv rights are brought by Amazon etc. Since the Prem tv rights got brought by the phone company Optus down here interest has definitely dropped away, people seem to concentrate more on the A league from what I can tell. You never know, could be to the benefit of the EFL and the FA Cup any breakaway? Need to be careful what you do, look what multiple codes and pay per view did for boxing?

She does now. I have put her house on the market, in order to fund her stay, in Burlington Care Home. Next door to the APH.
This place is not cheap. But, at least she can get the care that dementia sufferers require, and I am unable to provide. I think that she would have preferred to stay at Turn Furlong, but that was not an option.

We haven't missed out on much really. Carlisle at home in the second round not exactly mouth-watering but would have been a good chance of making it to the 3rd round. Oh well. A weekend off on 1st December instead. Can concentrate on putting up the Christmas decs instead.

Don't think we would have been ball number 18 (Lincoln's). It's done in alphabetical order for the league teams.

Ball numbers would have been the same, the winner of our tie as always going to be number 18.
No alphabetical order...Accrington Stanley are number 25 and Woking are number 7 for example.

Carlisle at home wasn’t the most mouthwatering tie, but I’m sure KC would have looked forward to it, as would KT with £54,000 prize money on offer and a lucrative third round tie to possibly follow.
