I was listening to the game tonight and after hearing Tim Oglethorpe refer to the North Stand as "The Sheinman Stand" it got me thinking, wasn't there suppose to be a statue made of Dave Bowen as part of the agreement to change the name of the stand?

As this was nearly 2 years ago does anyone have any idea if this is still happening?

Its coming.....along with the new seat for every fan........be patient!!  ;)

I had forgotten about those new seats. We never did get them in the West Stand.

In fairness that was before KT. In was promised by Cardoza, he did the South stand but then ran out of money  ;)

Or the money ran out, as it were 

Will the unveiling coincide with the official opening of the redeveloped east stand.

Criticising the club over a stand name change while referring to the Dave Bowen stand as the North Stand in the opening sentence.

No criticism here, just curious if it was still going ahead which i'm pleased to see it is! In reply to your sarcastic comment, why on earth would I refer to it as The Dave Bowen Stand when it isn't called that anymore? What should I have called it instead? The Stand behind one of the goals that houses the home fans??  ::)

Same reason as you referred to it has the North Stand. When isn’t that anymore.?  :P

I think your compass is out of wack. It is definitely the north stand. :P

Bowen was a one-off genius who saw the potential in players and worked with it. His achievement was one of football's miracles. We were good enough to have stayed up - that number of points would normally have saved us - but things conspired against us and relegation was a sickening blow. Superb fun while it lasted.
