Title: Shaq
Post by: Shoemaker on January 27, 2020, 07:28:02 am
I’m sorry to have to post again as I’m on self exclusion from sixfields until the ground is redeveloped but last night I woke in a cold sweat and realised that years on from his wonderful rendition of we are the champions and KTs pledge to bring him to a game it seems that shaq has gone very quiet.....
You’d have thought our number one fan would have been over at sixfields for the derby match but...
Nothing

It was about the time of the much  trumpeted redevelopment that shaq mania hit town but a few years on and he has disappeared presumably with his love of the club...

Maybe the tales of him taking in matches and raising the clubs profile were one big old whopper.
Then again maybe he is being held back as guest of honour for the grand reopening of the fully redeveloped ground...

Hes just a business partner of Kelvin, I don't think he's ever claimed to be involved in the club, just people speculating and wishful thinking. But yeah, a weird time to decide to call him out when he very obviously will have more important things to be dealing with.

I doubt Shoey had any inkling about that story, or indeed any connection Shaq had to it. I certainly didn't, and I suspect a majority on this board won't have either.

I had just about heard of the American netball player but the way the TV and media are reporting this, as if he was royalty, is surprising...

Straight question. What connection beyond excelling in the same sport does Shaq have to Kobe.

Well they were teammates for years in one of the greatest teams the sport had seen. They had a feud at one point but both they were close friends with each other and each of their respective families. So a lot of connections.

Somehow I doubt Shaq is a frequent visitor to this board in any case......

Imagine being so simple that you genuinely believed a bit of cheap publicity for the club so much that it actually upset you to the point of bringing it up countless times since

Please remain in self exclusion - there has been a huge reduction in negativity, until now.     ::)

Agreed - embarrassing opening post. Just at a point there are a few positives at the club the same old suspects come up with negative tripe - I’m no Freud but it doesn’t take a trick cyclist to spot individuals with a somewhat sad outlook on life.

Think he deserves a bit more respect the mans going through hell right now, obviously he hasn’t shown as much as we would have liked but he’s lost a father, sister and grandma as well as his brother Kobe, so just relax a little.

RIP Kobe 🙏
