It was major national sports news at the time. All the lads thought they were Georgie Best in those days. George Best - the man who used up all his money on women and wine but wasted the rest. Title: Re: February 7th 1970 Post by: roz on February 09, 2020, 09:54:28 am I was there on the Kop with my uncle who took me to all the games, at 6-0 he decided he'd 'had enough of this crap' and left taking me with him, as a 12 year old I had no choice but to leave too so I didn't even get to see our goals!! Never left a game early since though!
