Title: Re: The 'Clare Balding' POTS: AFC Wimbledon (h) 12/09/2020 Post by: Gonzales on September 12, 2020, 15:58:11 pm Ricky Korboa - aside from the well taken finish he was also a bright presence throughout and wasn’t afraid to take players on (and beat them!)
Title: Re: The 'Clare Balding' POTS: AFC Wimbledon (h) 12/09/2020 Post by: Fred_NTFC on September 12, 2020, 15:58:37 pm Marshall on another day, but considering where he's come from it simply has to be tricky Ricky Korboa. Not just his confidence, but his technique. What a find.

Title: Re: The 'Clare Balding' POTS: AFC Wimbledon (h) 12/09/2020 Post by: NTFC Nut on September 12, 2020, 16:15:02 pm Warburton for me - his best showing in a Cobblers shirt, certainly in a league game anyway.
Title: Re: The 'Clare Balding' POTS: AFC Wimbledon (h) 12/09/2020 Post by: CobblerForever on September 12, 2020, 16:31:42 pm Marshall - a proper winger, beating his man and getting cross after cross in. Korboa very good as well. Glad to see Warburton doing so well.
Title: Re: The 'Clare Balding' POTS: AFC Wimbledon (h) 12/09/2020 Post by: BackOfTheNet on September 12, 2020, 16:49:59 pm Korboa, but I also think Warburton and Marshall were very good and Ashley-Seal showed some real moments of class that suggest he'll be a very good player when he finds his feet.

Title: Re: The 'Clare Balding' POTS: AFC Wimbledon (h) 12/09/2020 Post by: Mysterious Curle on September 12, 2020, 17:24:26 pm Korboa. The best player on the pitch.
Title: Re: The 'Clare Balding' POTS: AFC Wimbledon (h) 12/09/2020 Post by: Irchy cob on September 12, 2020, 19:00:00 pm Korboa. By the way is Marshall left footed or ambidextrous - I’m sure he took a corner from the left with his left foot but I thought he was right footed?
Title: Re: The 'Clare Balding' POTS: AFC Wimbledon (h) 12/09/2020 Post by: GeordieCobbler on September 12, 2020, 19:28:37 pm Korboa for me. Marshall and Warburton also very good.

Title: Re: The 'Clare Balding' POTS: AFC Wimbledon (h) 12/09/2020 Post by: Robas on September 13, 2020, 10:18:10 am It has to be Korboa who showed great poise and demonstrated a lot of skill on his debut at this level.
Quite a bit of work to be done to develop a defensive shape! Title: Re: The 'Clare Balding' POTS: AFC Wimbledon (h) 12/09/2020 Post by: the grumpy old man on September 13, 2020, 10:24:50 am I thought Missilou had a good game and also Marshall, but like most others it's difficult to ignore the performance of Korboa and I make him my man of the match. We could have quite a player on our hands there, as long as we give him the time to develop.
On another note, I thought Nuttall was supposed to be fit, but he wasn't even on the bench. Hopefully if he is ever fit he will prove me wrong, but so far he has been a complete waste of space. Title: Re: The 'Clare Balding' POTS: AFC Wimbledon (h) 12/09/2020 Post by: Madrid Cobbler on September 13, 2020, 10:54:02 am Korboa. Great goal and good passing and technique shown throughout the game. Fingers crossed it's not a flash in the pan. I was also very impressed (again) with Missilou and Marshall had a very good game too. Looked good going forward without any of Adams, Hoskins, Smith, Mills or Nutall on the pitch, which is very promising.

special mention for Marshall Title: Re: The 'Clare Balding' POTS: AFC Wimbledon (h) 12/09/2020 Post by: Irchy cob on September 13, 2020, 18:12:06 pm I thought Missilou had a good game and also Marshall, but like most others it's difficult to ignore the performance of Korboa and I make him my man of the match. Hopefully if he is ever fit he will prove me wrong, but so far he has been a complete waste of space. Oglethorpe was convinced that Nuttall was acting as ball boy in the South stand - I would find that very hard to believe! Hopefully he’ll be fit enough to get some minutes on Wednesday.
