First 25 minutes we took the game to Hull and had the better of the early exchanges. Even at one down I felt we could get back into the game but the second goal was a killer. Over committed and lack of cover at the back allowed their striker too much space.

2nd half disappointing until Adams came on. I thought the substitutions somewhat mysterious and we seemed to lose all shape. I think Adams should have come on at first change. Of the players on show I thought Smith, Mills and Missilou were the top 3 candidates with Missilou MOM.

Racic has started shakily but no worse than Wharton in his first few games last year, people need to be patient and let the new signings bed in. Once the injuries start to clear up and there is more competition for places with Adams, Pollock, Sowerby and McWilliams all back in the fray we should still be competitive at this level, although probably one more experienced CB needed.

I expect a real roller coaster of a season. Survival in League 1 in more ways than one has to be the aim.

Smith. Clearly troubled their central defenders in the 1st half. Marshall was disappointing by comparison with previous performances.

No really outstanding performances but Smith just, mainly for effort!
