So, the Aston Villa  v Liverpool FA Cup tie goes ahead tonight with Villa having to field a second/youth team.  Derby County face a similar situation tomorrow.  Shrewsbury who do not have the luxury of player numbers face being thrown out of the competition because they cannot field a side at all.  Burnley want players to have priority in receiving the virus vaccine. What are things coming to?  Does this not show the complete arrogance and total misunderstanding of those in charge of and within the game? What will all this do to the reputation of the FA Cup competition let alone to the game as a whole.  Its time the FA and other authorities took their heads out of the sand and realised they are part of a society struggling to cope with the current pandemic not some sort of special case, and put the game on hold for a while across the board.  Things will improve but to carry on at the present tim without any seeming due regard to what is happening around is just shooting itself in the foot.
