As in 1994 NTFC moved from the County Ground to Sixfields, so too is the time for us to move. After Boardnation seemingly went belly up in a Chester style earlier this week like a phoenix from the flames a new forum has been created.
I've not much time now so just piss about in here for a bit until I sort things out properly, probably early next week I'd have thought.

just a couple of things, I've turned off changing usernames so think carefully. Also, you can't pm until a et amount of posts, think its either 5, 10 or 15. I can't remember what I set it at now. This is to stop spammers. Any questions and ask them in here. I can't promise to know the answers as I'm new to this board too but i can  try and find out. Karl - it appears the problem may well be browser based!  Got in fine on Firefox, so MS IE may be the culprit.

Working fine for me on firefox as well.

I was going to rebrand as well but because my brand is so strong and respected I decided against it. Good work Marquis on setting up a new site so quick!

For anybody who hasn't discovered this yet, you can get back the smileys that we had on the old Hotel End by changing your smileys setting to "classic" in your profile.

You can also get quick reply back by fiddling with the settings.

Hello All - back in I think, wouldn't work at first but seems ok now, hopefully! :)

I'd just like to say that I didn't have to resort to talking to my wife, but I did get some work done and went climbing.

Can we try to avoid these little lapses in the future.  I was raring to read a thread  about those transfer listed and then it all went tits up.  Now I'll never know those words of wisdom.

The demise of the other board led to me having to actually do work at work, it was quite a shock to the system.

It seems to want to log me out a lot. Fingers crossed I think persistent logging in and out has fixed it now.

I agree with brave new world - i guess when time allows a mesage will be put up at old site diverting to here

I am loving some of the features here (which is when someone will tell me they were available on the old one) such as display all unread posts in one.

why have some people got massive blank spaces in their signatures?

EDIT: Forget that. I think there's possibly big ads in between some posts but my ad block is stopping me seeing them.

Im working now on IE, I did have to use the longer address though, on the shorter one I couldn't log in. Now, can we get back to realising that I am (hopefully)GTA Champion for this season.

I made the mistake of having the boardnation url in my browser and couldnt get on... then used thehotelend.co.uk and got here...

First impressions are its a lot faster but I will need to get used to it a bit

Seeing as I was top of the prediction league when the boardnation board died, does that mean I automatically win that?

Just changed the redirect on the old, old .cjb.net address so if anybody was still using that one (even though it stopped being the primary address about 4 years ago) they should now be redirected here as well

Anyway, onto this nice new green board.....anyone else had problems logging in and staying logged in? It lets me log in ok, but when I go to any thread it goes back to the "welcome guest" bit and asks me to log in again!
Dont know what ive done different this time but its the first day in the last 5 that its let me stay logged in long enough to actually make a post!!

Anyone??? Is it another quirk with Windows 7?? I keep finding problems with it!!

I tried to mess about with themes etc... I went to 'look and layout preferences' and there was... 'Current Theme: SMF Default Theme - Core' I clicked change and there only seems to be 2 options both of which are the same.
