Title: Olympics Post by: singcobb on July 26, 2021, 21:21:13 pm I really struggle to drum up any enthusiasm for this these days. The Olympic motto is "faster, higher, stronger". not prettier or more stylish. For me any event that contains any amount of subjective scoring is not an Olympic sport. I'm sorry but synchronised drowning and jumping of a board into water in a stylish way are not sports, they are passtimes. What really did it for me was back in the early eighties a Norwegian ski-jumper didn't win the gold medal even though he had jumped the farthest and stayed on his feet because he wasn't stylish enough.
