1  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: All Redevelopment/Takeover Stuff on: October 26, 2015, 22:58:35 pm
It will become clear tomorrow. It was nothing to do with the Trust.

What was said is being kept secret until tomorrow for very good motives - please don't jump to conclusions about the Trust or the people that were there (not all were Trust members).

Take a leap of faith in the fans who were disclosed that information that they are being genuine for not revealing it. They were put in a rather difficult position by it - and I can assure you had you attended that meeting you would be taking the exact same stance as everyone who was there currently is.

Trouble is, it will leak before the relevant people are informed. The Trust have been marvellous in the recent weeks and now you have been put in an impossible position by a complete unprofessional act by someone who should know better.

Not getting the anger directed at the Council. Didn't they agree a similar deal/loan with the Saints?

No missing money there. Amazing what can happen when professional people run a business.

I used to know him rather well and have been to games with the guy. I would stake a great deal on him being innocent in all this.

Innocent maybe, incompetent almost certainly.

As for our CEO.... Not sure how he still has a job if that amount of money has been paid to someone "by mistake".
5  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: All Redevelopment/Takeover Stuff on: October 26, 2015, 21:27:40 pm
Exactly, why hasn't someone been arrested?

Let's face it, something illegal has happened, or it's incompetence of the complete highest order.

If any other business had acted this way, everyone would say that they deserve to go bust.

Standard procedure to ease the legalities I'd imagine.

Nowt to worry about.

Having just seen the interview, I'm even less confident than I was before (if that is possible).

He seems far too confident, even cocky, about our chances of avoiding non-league.
9  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Darren Carter. on: November 03, 2013, 20:28:14 pm
Carter and Morris were bench warmers at football giants Cheltenham and Torquay last season.

Is it any wonder we are where we are?

Nutshell. In. A

Wembley should have been a stepping stone for us, instead ever since an hour before kick off we've been going down hill and rapidly.
10  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Bristol Rovers. on: August 30, 2013, 11:43:43 am
Bristol Rovers manager John Ward told BBC Radio Bristol:

"Aidy Boothroyd will have his team fired up and they will be strong."

"They will be attack-minded. They won't come here and sit five in midfield and not go forward."

Do you want a bet on that Mr Ward?

Anyone going to see the Aussies against the Lions at the County Ground?

Should be a good match.

Oi... I'm not neurotic. I'm just really, really nervous about our season.  Grin
13  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: The new Striker, brought to you in association with Alfred & Shoemaker on: August 09, 2013, 15:44:41 pm
Well, I can blame him can't I, that's pretty much my point.
14  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Jacob Blyth on: August 09, 2013, 09:47:01 am
So we do need a striker now do we Aidy?

I would imagine he was on our radar before joining Leicester, welcome to Northampton Jacob.
15  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: The new Striker, brought to you in association with Alfred & Shoemaker on: August 09, 2013, 09:45:23 am
What is starting to grate with me, is how Aidy is seemingly starting to treat the fans with a sense of self arrogance. Pride comes before a fall and all that.

The signing of Blyth just re-emphasises this point for me. First we need a striker, then we don't, now we do.

Have some respect for the fans please Mr Bootroyd.
16  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: The new Striker, brought to you in association with Alfred & Shoemaker on: August 09, 2013, 09:40:06 am
I'm still firmly in the pro Boothroyd and DC camp. However that doesn't mean that they are both beyond criticism.

I think some of the reactions on here are over the top, but I think that's true about both sides of the arguement.

Truth is, that up to the beginning of the week ADB seemed keen to sign a striker and was telling the press that that was the case, in the space of a few days it seems that we are now happy with what we've got.

I personally don't believe this has anything to do with DC cutting the budget, if it was I doubt ADB would have been making the noises about signing a striker in the first place. Rather ADB's target not being available or rejecting us.

What is starting to grate with me, is how Aidy is seemingly starting to treat the fans with a sense of self arrogance. Pride comes before a fall and all that.

18  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Aidy's stubborn streak on: August 07, 2013, 14:07:18 pm
All Managers have to be stubborn to some degree.

Aidy got it a bit wrong with the diamond formation at the start last night and when we switched back to a standard 4-4-2 we looked a lot more comfortable on the ball and better going forward.

I am completely perplexed with the notion of Ian Morris as captain though. Would have thought there were quite a few better candidates for that role to be honest. The strange thing is, that in the two friendlies I did see, Morris started both and in neither was he the captain.

I actually think ROD could be as prolific, if not more so than Bayo at this level.

All he needs is the right partner, whether or not that is Clive Platt I don't know but I highly doubt it...

Erm... We are playing them tomorrow night so it does have something to do with us.
