The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Deegan Signs!

I reckon Deegan and Morris have stood out more than Carter so far in pre-season. But then again, Turnbull looked at masterclass in friendlies so im not sure that means much. Midfield definitely looks stronger than last season though. Lets just hope the defence don't spend ever game bypassing it now.
Granted I have only seen the Cogenhoe game but Carter looked well behind everybody else fitness wise to me, he'll be a good signing when he gets up to speed.

It was all agreed, his new agent moved the goal posts so we pulled out
A touch of the Giles Cokes about it .... but without the compensation
In that case, well done the Club.

IF it has anything to do with a groundshare with Coventry, I wonder how that will affect the fixture list? I notice we are both meant to be at home on August 10th....
Very interesting though, looking forward to tomorrow.

I'd suspect/hope that a few signings and trialists are on the trip.
This. Plus, I thought I read somewhere that O'Donovan was joining pre-season training on Monday... Perhaps he's flying out with a number of new signings tomorrow? We can but hope... If there aren't any announcements though in the next 48 hours even I might think this summer hasn't gone according to ADB's plan.

I've not seen or heard one Torquay fan say they are sad to see him go, which is a bit worrying.
Also, I'd like to think we've learnt our lesson after Clive Platt and given him a thorough medical after his injury problems.
However, I'm sure ADB knows what he's getting and it's nice to finally sign someone. Good luck Ian and welcome to the Club.

How do you resolve these moans about prices? Charge just £15 and to counterbalance the reduction in income, get cheaper Conference players in, get relegated or go bust! Maybe you think DC should plough thousands of extra money in to subsidise your ticket!
Get in the real world!
In DC and AB we trust.
If you don't think that something needs to be done about the rising ticket prices in all levels of football, than it is you that needs to "get in the real world". People are being gradually priced out, it's not about the prices for next season, or the season after. It's about the prospect of ticket prices being increased by the same percentage over the next 15 years that they have in the last 15 years. Something has to done to try and prevent that.

Not so: Well as everyone of my era would agree.....COVENTRY CITY aka the sky blues were our local rivals & we all hated Jimmy Hill ( who wore the mantle recently adorning Barry Fry ! ). The P*sh were merely a non league side at the time..........
And the cycle continues, with MK Dons replacing Peterborough... Well that's my fear anyway...!!!

today is deadline day for them..................not too fussed either way about any of them to be honest.
I'd like O'Donovan and Cameron to stay, and as much as I like Guttridge it is probably best for both parties if he leaves, it's pretty obvious ADB doesn't rate him that highly. I think Tozer will stay as I know he's fairly settled in the area and I doubt many clubs will pay a fee for him, as for Harding I'm reallly not fussed either way.

Tom Pope wasn't prolific before last season either.
The point was, Gillingham won the League with two players scoring 26 league goals between them. Something I think O'Donovan and Nicholls would be more than capable off.
