61  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Summer Transfer Rumours on: May 24, 2013, 12:47:22 pm
I thought Dias would be Hackett's back???

Although I can understand an upgrade on Demon

Hackett will already miss pre season though and possibly the start of the season from what i gather. Bit unfair to ask Dias to fill those boots so soon if you ask me...
62  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Lee Collins Signs 2 Year Deal on: May 24, 2013, 12:37:34 pm
Superb news, could easily play at L1 level.
63  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Summer Transfer Rumours on: May 24, 2013, 12:35:48 pm
Nicholls and O'Donovan aren't widemen in the 442 sense, so i can see why he wants 2, an uprade to Demontagnac and a back up to Hackett.
64  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Summer Transfer Rumours on: May 23, 2013, 19:43:45 pm
You mean take a gamble on non league players like Courtney Hebert and Lewis Wilson? They didn't work out did they?

Your right, it didn't work for those two, so lets never ever try that again...!
65  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Posh fan in peace on: May 23, 2013, 19:36:06 pm
Haven't quite got the hang of the quote button have you?
66  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Next season central defence on: May 23, 2013, 19:35:05 pm
It's even more imperative that Cameron and Collins sign on now, I don't really want us having to find 3 new players out of our back 5 (incl. GK) to start our first game...
67  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Nana. on: May 23, 2013, 19:31:59 pm
Aidy being stubborn again perhaps?

Nope, not on this occasion. He just preferred Tozer and Johnson as right backs, and quite frankly so do I...

I think Wolvo's account may be closer to the mark!
68  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: CARLISLE RETIRES on: May 23, 2013, 19:27:00 pm
Echo the thoughts of many on here and would also like to say thanks for what he has done for us.

Our turnaround started from the moment he joined us and without his signing who knows where we would be now.
69  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: the singing section on: May 23, 2013, 14:17:34 pm
When i asked ticketmaster about the singing sections, the guy i talked to didn't have a clue. I would imagine there was a bit of a breakdown in communication somewhere along the line....

IF Horwood is a target, perhaps its as a plan b, incase Collins leaves.
71  The Hotel End / Other Football & Sport / Re: Bayo. on: May 22, 2013, 14:03:46 pm
Sorry, don't buy that. The pubicity was good for him, the Club and the play off final itself. I'm sure he had more than the Clubs blessing to appear on that show, infact they probably would have encouraged it.
72  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: The Retained List on: May 22, 2013, 07:17:54 am
I think that the talk about whether Tozer is worth a contract or not is going to end up meaningless.

He'll have offers from elsewhere (the interested parties are above our league even if in my opinion he's not) and based on their location, he'll more than likely move on.

But would they pay a fee for him? Given his age, I assume we'll be entitled to one if he decides to go elsewhere?

With Johnson now left the Club, Tozer is the last surviving member of the team from that night at Anfield.... That is no reason for him to stay of course, I just thought it was interesting.
73  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Summer Transfer Rumours on: May 21, 2013, 20:59:24 pm
Weren't we linked with Moshni last summer for a bit?
74  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: The Retained List on: May 21, 2013, 20:56:28 pm
Harding hasn't looked the same since his injury earlier this season, so hopefully with a break and a pre season he can get back to the player he was and kick on from there...

I do doubt whether he would have got into any side that finished in the top 3 this season though, and if that is our aim for next year, which it should be, than that is the quality of player we need to be looking at.
75  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: The Retained List on: May 21, 2013, 20:24:52 pm
Must admit I was hoping we would be after a midfield enforcer this summer but with both Harding and Gutts offered deals that now seems unlikely.
76  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Your style of play on: May 21, 2013, 19:21:01 pm
To be fair, other than us, Bradford were the most direct team I have seen at Sixfields this season.
77  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Summer Transfer Rumours on: May 21, 2013, 15:05:44 pm
Nope, but he did bump into Paul Benson.

I did wonder how long it would be before someone mentioned him....
78  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Next season central defence on: May 21, 2013, 13:59:15 pm
I know at least one of those won't be here next season, Drilling.

Anyone but Collins please.....   Undecided
79  The Hotel End / Other Football & Sport / Re: Bayo. on: May 21, 2013, 13:53:03 pm
He's gone...

80  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: The million pound game. on: May 21, 2013, 13:35:25 pm
Not a million but we must have made a 6 figure amount from the play-offs?

I wonder if it was more than what we recieved for Jacobs last summer?
