I agree aidy needs time to sort out this club of ours and I think he performed miracles keeping us up. That is something I'm eternally grateful for. That said leaving signings this late makes me nervous in case they don't come off. The team I saw Saturday was very poor and desperately needs reinforcing. Like I've said if the general consensus is that we will be aiming to stay up rather than go up whilst probably acceptable to fans such as myself who have had to witness rubbish for at least the last two seasons it will not encourage extra bums on seats on Saturdays at sixfields. If the club are happy with this slow progression then fair enough but they can't expect increased attendances on the back of such a policy.
As I have said previously, ADB is probably thinking and having similar concerns but the acquisition of assets isn't as easy as playing Championship Manager. It takes time and the players required and/or desired are not always either available or more importantly willing to come to a club that finished just above the relegation zone in the Fourth Division last season. This is despite the club having a progressive relatively young Manager and a Chairman who clearly wants to improve the status of the club.

There is no way marlon king is coming to us, if he does il show my arse in tesco! When he was a cov the season before last he said he was playing the best football of his career! He would still do a job in the prem in my opinion! Some people live in a dream world!
Isn't he Andy's brother?

Hi All, I hope it's ok to to post this on here mods. Anyone know a good plasterer who will do a professional job for a reasonable price? Despite being a tradesman myself, the ones I know are a bunch of cowboys and it's for a mate of mine. Cheers Jim I do, but he works in A&E!

Before we get the do you know better than aidy boothroyd brigade on here this is what I would have done. I would of sold Jacobs and bayo. I would have bought in Clive platt for bayo. I would have bought in Hackett for Jacobs. I would have tried to get Alan Connell or Jon shaw to score the goals. I would have tried to get in one of Carlisle gyepes or rob jones early on so they can get settled. I am not Jose mourinho but I'm sure that would have been better than the mess we are in. As for the goalie god knows why we've offered kitson a deal. What was wrong with matt duke??? Come the end of the season it'll be interesting to see how the above players have performed for their various clubs. Also bare in mind I would have done it all for £0.
How do you know that all of the above isn't exactly how ADB is thinking but because real life isn't always as easy as it is played out on inaminate objects, he has been unable to follow it through? We have a saying, "that even the best laid plans rarely survive first contact". Your first contact has not survived because Bayo hasn't been sold (yet) if that is part of ADB's plan.

Use a search engine and look it up yourself - takes 30 seconds.
I had, but the JPT page on the FL website was showing a blank at that time so I assumed that the information had been acquired from elsewhere. Just looked using Enya's link and it is now showing. Thank you for your help...

There is a different level of conviction with the FA than a court of civil law: 'Beyond reasonable doubt' is what could not be proved in the magistrates court. The FA use the 'Balance of Probability' which is a lesser degree of evidence that is needed for a conviction. The fact that he admitted using the racially abusive language could be quite useful to the FA although it is not clear, although we all have our own ideas, whether it was directed or was he just repeating what he thought Anton had said? Anton Ferdinand did not use racially abusive language, only what is termed as 'industrial language'. This could go on and on....
