C. Can't beat a good read on a sunny day. The plot lines, conspiracy theories, crime and intrigue are riveting - and always work best within a fictional setting. Tolkien would have been proud. The gardening might be more rewarding though.

The club owes more money now than it did then.
We want to be competitive, have better players and facilities - but the extra cash wasn't coming from gate receipts or TV money ? The gap in the money has to be filled from somewhere. We haven't been on the brink of insolvency for the last 12 years.

Plan shows 9 rows of seats. That is the same number as there already is.
None of those plans show any extra seats anywhere , unless I am missing something.
If I am not , then we have been well and truly had.
Two proposed plans for the East Stand, 'ground floor' and 'first floor'.

Does anybody have links to the proposed plans for this redevelopment, I'm interested in whose seats these Executive boxes are going to be built on, or if they add them to the top (even possible ?). Also interested in how the £12m is repayable by 2017 - is this £12m recovered by the club by some kind of sale/leaseback arrangements on part of the investment (hotel/land ?) http://www.northamptonchron.co.uk/news/politics/sixfields-will-be-unrecognisable-after-12m-redevelopment-1-5245583The stadium’s east and west stands will be expanded, taking the ground’s capacity up to about 10,000. The new east stand will be twice its current size, making it about the same size as the current west stand. TheWest Stand will have 10 new executive boxes built into it.It is hoped the stadium redevelopment will be completed by August 2014, in time for the new football season. The football club is expected to pay the council back by 2017.

Normally there are no (or very few) stewards on the outside of the gates but a dozen or so on the inside.
They do very little, other than point you in the direction of getting searched or wave you though.
I've never had a problem with the barcode scanner, and the only time you may get your ticket checked is when you walk through to the seating area. All they want to do is make sure you are the right part of the ground.

If you decide to go from Wellingborough split your ticket purchase.
Buy a return from W'boro to Bedford plus a one-day travelcard from Bedford.
Works out at £29 instead of £42.
