Unable to pass the ball, no idea what we are doing, a total mess. Thank goodness the ref missed our handball in our area. Something radical has to change here, let's hope it gets sorted.

Agreed - this thread is totally counterproductive with less than a week to go to the start of the season, it's the usual suspects with the negativity - it's just a surprise that defender didn't start it.
Well - I'm not a "usual suspect" in wanting a manager to fail and I'll be chuffed to bits if Justin Edinburgh excels...BUT so far he's confused me with some weird formations that players responded to badly, and in doing so he cut the number of killer crosses and was too cautious up front. Now it's a new season and he has a squad he can call his own and a formation that seems to stick two fingers up to 4-4-2 so if he makes it work I'll be right there with him. If he fails then I'm sure the Chinese will soon be squealing. I must say that if it ever goes ti*s-up then having Jon Brady on the payroll will be useful. Meantime Justin - make a big name for yourself and get into the Cobblers' Hall of Fame

We are a portal of access for some very rich Chinese people. Clearly they are rich enough in their own environment, what none of us knows is what they want to achieve by being in ours...but obviously it's not to milk NTFC of its wealth because it has none. It is therefore not wrong to be suspicious of what it is they wish to access through our portal. It may be as simple as being able to access certain markets or people which they can now do with the legitimacy of a UK operation. So, enjoy the ride but be on guard because if NTFC is not their prime interest then they'll drop us like a hot potato as soon as they've got whatever else they are here for! Conversely it may be that they have identified their pathway to what they want as being achieveable only by getting us into the Championship/Premiership - in which case enjoy the ride and hope the eventual aim when achieved is a mutual one! Remain suspicious!

I think he means in the west stand carpark. Having said that its not £200.00 there either. Approx £160 I believe
It may be now. When I didn't renew my West Stand parking it was about 3 years ago and £170 was what I was asked for it. Cineworld Unlimited at that stage was roughly the same.

It's cheaper to join Cineworld Unlimited, get free films all year, buy a ticket for a film on matchday but keep it in your glovebox in the unlikely event of getting a parking ticket - or photocopy your Unlimited card and stick a copy in the windscreen, park up then walk across the road to the Cobblers. On that basis I cancelled my West Stand car parking AND I get free films all year.

So it seems the bookies are not impressed by the Cobblers chances this season. Sky bet have us at 28/1 and are paying top 4 on each way bets. Still not sure I'm tempted.
Where did all that come from? Today Sky have us at 8-1 for promotion.

Good 'keeper, had a mare of a few weeks, has the talent to rise to a good level if his mental attitude is good. Being bawled out by Rob Page in front of the other players must have screwed his brain for a bit.

Justin Edinburgh has to prove himself with this fresh start - his team and his ideas. He's not a manager with great attacking intentions, he hasn't yet got what I'd call a balanced squad, he hasn't so far communicated effectively to his players how to play to his system - either that or they don't like it or understand it so they don't respond - it seems to me to leave big holes in midfield and also reduces good bye-line crosses that create goals. BUT best of luck to him, we need to back him and then if he screws up, well, there is a certain Jon Brady at the club who has a great footballing brain and a lot of decent lower-league contacts.
