Hey. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone that voted here and on Twitter, Facebook and the Cobblers Wall. We only went and won it! The support was amazing and very humbling. Once I've got adjusted to the climate I shall send you all a postcard from my new home in Cuba. Nice one...you're the best (when you're not arguing!) x UTC

There is absolutely no point in expressing a preference and stating what would be best for the club and citing examples of fan lead compared to wealthy owner led clubs. If a serious offer is on the table, then the Trust will not be involved in running the club. If not, they might well have to be. Until that time comes, it is more guess work and an excuse for the same people to argue over nothing again.
good work nige! That surely goes for every single thread on here. I'll bother to log on in another couple of years. Clearly there is no point in planning for different scenarios. Let's miss the boat again just cos we can. This site is as rotten as the broom cupboard.

That's my gut feeling but it is all about the will to see change. I don't know if that will is there or not. I do think that the appearance by Emily yesterday has set the ball rolling though. How far it gets is anyone's guess. We all know what we ultimately want.

The recent events have bought out the best in the trust, however , prior to this they have badly lost thier direction, just becoming a cash cow for Cardoza, with the recent tunnel cover paid for by the trust whilst Cardoza had 10 million . From my personal opinion, going back a few years , it became a closed shop for any new folk wanting to get involved. Several years ago , Myself, whitedogdo and TFAMH, for clarty ( Ian Townsend Glen Gousner and Nigel Bird ) we attended some meetings as 'guests' and found that the veiws of the board were blinkered, that our veiws were not taken seriously and they were treading on eggshells so as not to upset DC. the march from the guildhall was not in the name of the trust as they didnt want it to be (in case there was trouble i think) ,our involvement was shortlived. The trust needs to be more ballsy, it needs more outspoken committee members, ones not too scared to rock the boat a bit, and not to pander to ANY new chairman, it needs to be more comunicative, im a life member and all the communication i get is the raffle tickets and election forms. Also, and part of the money raised by the trust needs to be put into a 'war chest' for times like now. Credit where it is due, Roger , James, and other members of the board for getting us noticed , but more needs to be done and the veiws of all fans should be taken into consideration.
I echo everything that Ian has said there. I've also been a life member for a number of years and I would also like to thank the Trust for their recent efforts. The speech by Brian / Emily had me close to tears as the thought of no NTFC is inconceivable. Tom Reed, in particular, is calling for fan ownership to secure our future. For this to happen there would need to be complete unity and a very strong Trust. Is the will there, or do we go with a new owner full of promises? Whatever the decision it will be a critical one. I can live with conference football (if that's what it came to) but anything lower down the pyramid would kill me! That's me being selfish and a consequence of living miles away. If I lived in Northampton I'm sure I'd take the dog to a UCL game. Ideally, fan ownership is the answer but do we have the foundations (I.e. The Trust) to achieve it? Would a new owner embrace the Trust to enable a full and proper partnership? Unlikely I guess. It's a shame...we all have lives, problems, heartache. Supporting your Club is supposed to be respite from all that and here we are again. Bastards!

If you have a genuine interest in football in the community please check out @One2Blackburn and @soccer_4_all on Twitter. This work is going on all over the country with little or no funding. Would be much appreciated...

A former player of the year in the 80's as well I think...the work the Cobblers do in the community puts a lot of other clubs to shame, especially those higher up the leagues. Absolutely fantastic stuff.

Absolutely superb performance yesterday. One of the best away days I've had following the Cobblers without a doubt. The best team performance for many a year. I've been very critical of Hackett for a season and a half, but his two games have been good. Yesterday he was brilliant His goal was a great strike. I was in the top right so was right behind the flight of the ball, and it was in the moment he hit it. The second one demonstrated the confidence of the team. I never thought I'd see us do rehearsed free kicks, but it was bloody good. Byrom was my man of the match. I think he is vital to the team. The way he effortless spreads the ball from one side of the pitch to the other is brilliant. D'Ath, Holmes, Hackett and Toney must have loved his efforts yesterday. I was worried that we would go there and play for a point, but couldn't have been more wrong. The front four all had great games. Rico, and JJ won't be getting back into that side in a hurry. That win will have sent a huge message to the rest of the league, and having won there, we can win anywhere. I got us at 40/1 for promotion, and believe that I will be winning that bet come May. This side is the best I've seen in 19 years of watching Town and it's the most I've enjoyed watching us. Word for the support, fantastic. I LOVED yesterday. I love it when the Cobblers make us feel like this! Pretty sure Rico will start every time he is fit. JJOT on the other hand...love the way D'ath, Ricky and Hacks constantly swap into the no. 10 role. I thought Hacks was a gonna. Like you Dan he ain't been in it for the past 18 months but he's suddenly become part of the team again. That for me proves the spirit inside the dressing room is the best it's been for yonks. Yeah!

He was lucky not to get sent off when he got his first yellow. Intentional stamp post challenge unnoticed by officials but clear as day on highlights. Inevitable outcome for someone who's desperate to be Rock'n'roll. Still, as long as he comes good for the Cobblers he can have as many chances as he wants...as long as it's not just before his 3 years run out.

To the semi-literate bloke a few rows behind me, Plan B can be to invest in an English dictionary and find some other words to descibe people he doesn't like so that he doesn't need to use the "C" word quite so often when he is surrounded by young children. I know we are all biased, but he didn't think O Toole had done anything wrong. Plan B could also to pop into Specsavers on Monday.
Probably Marvo...he'd clearly been on the spritzers. Did he mention something about a graveyard?

Everbrite. Stop it. Ralap has a lifetime on you. Honestly, stop it. You're embarrassing yourself...yet again. I mentioned you to bingers yesterday. Not a great story cos he's only seen us win twice in 11 years. But I thought you were like 15 years old. He tells me you're some senior part-timer. His words (oh, bingers). As Hugh would say...get a grip on yerself.

Good suggestion marvo but judging by some of the responses I don't know why you bother! One day there will be a thread when everyone talks to each other without some sort of superiority complex. One day maybe...when we're winnin'.
