Not been here for a good while so I'm well out the loop.

Did we get Malcom Christie yet?

I've not been here for a while. I don't know if to be impressed this thread is still going or just be sad that there is still a need for it.
3  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Rob Dunkley, Herts cobb. on: December 14, 2015, 12:11:29 pm
This is awful. Through thehotelend I've known Rob for sometime and travelled with him on many occasions on away days either through Trust Travel or on the Train.

Do you mind if I ask what happened? I'm totally shocked by this and I'm struggling to comprehend this at the min.

Great draw. Very excited. About the prospect of this one...
5  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Summer signings/rumours/realistic targets 2015 on: August 12, 2015, 20:48:03 pm
I understand he definitely preferred the offer from Spain.

No doubt when the offer came in but it wasn't on the table when we could/should have signed him.

Fair play to the lad though. I don't think many would have predicted he'd come on as he has.
6  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Summer signings/rumours/realistic targets 2015 on: August 12, 2015, 12:01:20 pm
I think we wanted to sign him the following season but he refused and went to Spain.

We did want to sign him and I understand he did want to come. As I understand it Big Dave didn't want to pay £50k for him though.

It's probably the least of our worries regarding the development but it looked like the new fixture board was being taken away at 7am this morning.

I don't give a monkeys what anyone thinks. I am entitled to an opinion, just like anyone else, I didn't think it would be long before some body played 'the race card'.

You are indeed entitled to an opinion. At least you got something right.
9  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Hes selling yee ha on: July 03, 2015, 14:20:57 pm
or indeed Greek business people who pay tax!

Is that because they are Greek then? Do other races pay tax in Greece?
10  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Hes selling yee ha on: July 03, 2015, 11:13:36 am
FFS. I wish people would stop going on about India.

If any of you think you can get even the smallest indication of a persons character based on race, you really are thick.

Just wait and see.

I'll try and reserve judgement until I have more details but I'd be lying if said I'm not slightly concerned at the idea of an unnamed consortium buying prime development land with the club attached to it.

I'm sure that being frozen out at the club, the fans rating him rightly as s hit, and no career afterwards had no bearing on his views.

Reading through some of this, there seems to be quite a few who have retrospectively said that we would struggle last night. I think I must be in the minority of people that had expected us to be good enough to win last night.
16  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Possible signings during January 2015 on: January 30, 2015, 18:14:11 pm
Sinclair doesn't need replacing. The idea was to cut down the size of the squad so replacing everyone who has left sort of defeats the object.

The squad is fine, loans (we've hardly any now) can make up the difference should any of our players get injured.

Yep there's no need to sign anyone at the moment. If the right player becomes available then the Chairman has already shown his willingness to back his manager.

For now Wilder has my backing. He needs to halt this slide quickly though
18  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Carlisle on: December 19, 2014, 12:10:48 pm
Hopefully we'll run a similar promotion when they come to Sixfields then. Perhaps we can charge home fans a fiver and away fans £22 and see if they feel that justified then.

I didn't see Banks at Southend. Is he a wide player?

If not I'd agree that this is a strange signing.
