I like the fact they couldn't be bothered to write an article, they just left it at the headline. Classic Star.
I think there possibly was an article as well, but you had to subscribe to be able to read it. Or buy the paper. Likely? P'raps not.

Don't you get confused with the amount of cr@p already on the paper before you use it?
Aye lad, it's good job ferrets can't read, or they might indeed object.

Believe 20% of what you read in The Daily Star, and 25% of the Sun!!
But they both make excellent ferret cage litter, as does the Daily Mail

Lot's of cardboard boxes with brown tape on them behind Big Dave during that interview. I wonder who's office he was sitting in?
That taped-up storage box has been on the cupboard behind DC's chair for 5 months now - look back to his earlier interviews when he was saying how much we owed Aidy and how he was giving him his 100% backing. . . . . The box was still there then. Wonder what it contains? Any suggestions? Back in those days he could at least look straight into the camera when he was being interviewed. But in the recent "6-minute" interview, the ceiling seems to have developed a fascination for him. For sure he does not look comfortable or confident in what to do.

We need to clear out as much of Boothroyd's duff stuff as we can. It's sad in a way because players' jobs and futures are at stake - these were all lads with hopes and with families who wanted them to do well - but after Boothroyd lost the plot pre-Wembley in refusing to go for automatic promotion, absolutely nothing he did made any logical sense, and the pre-season training camp and rash of useless last-minute signings was the big clue that his time was up. Unfortunately nobody at the club noticed that!
Indeed Steve- it should have been/could have been automatic promotion. And that photo in the Wembley programme spoke volumes!

Just watched the coverage on Player . . . .didn't look too much like a League 2 match . . . fast direct footy and a credit to both teams. But the challenge on Moyo was clearly outside the box. Onward and Upward Andy King . . . . as if there was a choice! Happy/ier new year all!

The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Aidy Boothroyd Myths ......

It all went badly wrong from Wembley onwards. The myths that come to mind are:
(1) Platt & O'Donovan would form a promotion winning strike force;
(2) The arriving players (Morris, Carter, Deegan) were of a higher quality than those who left (Bayo, Guttridge, Harding)
That it ended in failure is down to AB alone. I think his managerial career is in tatters but I would have said the same about Johnson when he was chopped.
The body language of his photo in the Wembley programme is worth a thousand words. Almost a prediction of what was about to happen, that day and for the next ghastly 7 months.

Thanks for those two most recent posts . . . valid points. I really hope my fears are unfounded, but they linger on. And in a world where gambling is so rife, I rule nothing out.
I wonder what Declan Hill would make of it all?
Spend a moment to Google him if you don't know who he is.
