The thing is, you cant have it both ways...
When we played Barrow, whilst I wanted us to win Id have taken the defeat over a bloody replay. The last thing we needed at the time was another midweek game. I didn't bother going to that game.
I would be more inclined to go to an FA Cup match if I knew there was definitely going to be a 'result'. I am sure there will be many more like me...
If I had it my way, Id scrap the league cup and the silly pizza cup. Then *perhaps* the FA Cup would regain its old magic. There's too many games. Even 'little clubs' like us don't take any of these games seriously...
The 'reward' to progress in the FA Cup needs to be 5 times what it is as well. Shift the £ over from another pot to pay for it. Its most certainly there. Certainly from Round3 onwards. Then the bigger clubs might regain an interest as well, because after all its all about £. If the chance of earning big big money (without just getting a lucky draw at Old Trafford) is there for league1/2/Non league teams to progress to round3 then they will field their strongest teams, attendances would be much bigger etc.
Make an FA Cup run a game changer like it was 30/40 years ago.
I’d gladly bin off the pizza monstrosity. Still proudly not watched a game since the prem kids were introduced. And I used to enjoy that too as a proper good chance to make Wembley. I’d never attend a final while this format continues so happy for it to go. But the League Cup has given us so many awesome memories! Liverpool, Reading, WBA, West Ham, Bolton, Norwich. Leading Spurs and saving a Ginola pen. Scaring United, Newcastle away etc. I love that cup 😍

I'm sure the club will be having conversations with him / his agent about signing him on. I just think he will want a Championship or Scottish Premier team.
Exactly. It’s far from likely that he ends with us, but we will 💯 have a conversation.

I know that it’s been said it’ll be his last home game for us.
But if he’s out of contract and you don’t believe that we will offer him something in an attempt to sign him, you’re deluded

I’ve had a few chats with Beds at away games and agree on a lot that he says, despite that not being popular 😂
What I would say is that a 3k increase in the south stand would make the ground look ridiculous. We would be talking of an away end not far off the size of Oakwells haha. It would tower above the rest of the ground.
What I would suggest is 1.5k added to both the North and South, would make a much more aesthetically pleasing ground.

I really hope that Birmingham come down. Only because of the disgraceful way that they sacked John Eustace, whilst the club were in sixth position, and replaced him with the hapless Wayne Rooney, who oversaw their rapid descent towards the relegation zone, and then sacked him fifteen games later. Yet another shining example of bean-counters thinking that they know best. When they dont.
This is the one for me. Please let it be so.

I think what you’ve written is FACT.
Koiki truly showed what difference having a dynamic full back can make. I don’t really appreciate how much we’ve missed him this season until we saw his 45 mins last week.

Well what a pleasant want to end what has been a very challenging block 8.
Only the 4 points from a set which sadly included a battering from our friends the other side of the Nen.
But to finish off beating Derby, who previously hammered us 4-0, and keep a clean sheet is very pleasing. I imagine 7 points was the target but we have to settle with 4.
Block 9 starts on Friday.
Reading A (3-1 W) Port Vale H (0-1 L) Carlisle H (2-2 D) Fleetwood A (3-0 W) Exeter H(2-0 W)
Our Block 9 has huge implications at the bottom of the league. I’d say there’s genuine chances of relegating Fleetwood and possibly Carlisle, though they might be gone by then.
Finish on a high boys, get some wins 🙌🏽
Reading 0-1 Port Vale 2-0 Carlisle 2-0 and relegation ⬇️ Fleetwood (3-0 w) Exeter(2-0 W) We’ve secured 2 more points so far than the like for like and have a good chance to finally score a goal at Fleetwood. Great to see a few clean sheets and solid performances. Possibly a bit unfortunate to not have 9 from 9 but a good week for Block 9 😄

Who? Never heard of him, seems to have a massive chip on his shoulders, Cobbs reserves about his level.
Mate he was garbage. Scored the odd goal from midfield but was a low point in some woeful teams for us in the early naughties. He never really got much stick from the fans as the whole team tended to get the stick, so his beef with us is bizarre.

That game was genuinely about to be the most forgettable one of the season, and then Koiki did that 😂😂 What an unbelievable goal. I had honestly forgotten how quick that guy is as it’s so long since he’s been anywhere close to fit. What a difference he is to the other full backs! Mathematically the first team who can’t go up and can’t go down
That trophy will look great in the cabinet 🏆

JB said another of our injured players could be ready tomorrow, I think that may be Willis so he could be on the bench.
The injury list is shrinking fast and most look like they will be fit for their summer holidays. What this should mean is that they all should be fit for pre season unlike last year when several players took minimal part in pre season friendlies and JB had difficulty finding 11 fit players for the opening game, look how badly we tired in the second half against Stevenage. Hopefully this will lead to a better start to the season as we will not be so hamstrung with hamstrings and this season we only took 14 points from the first 15 games.
Don’t remind us of Blocks 1,2 and 3!

I’ll pose a question.
If we’d gone for Taylor from Luton at the same time that Lincoln had, and been successful. Would an in form poacher have won us some of those close games you mention?
My gut says yes, and I’d also imagine he’d have chosen us due to location. So possibly just 1 extra player could have made all the difference.

"Things shouted out by the knob head who sits behind his laptop" could be a feature!
First time in Sixfields history, the East Stand have attempted to get a song/chant going? *
* Inane squeals of "Cobblers' by a group of six year olds doesn't apply!
You’re describing most of the chants from the West Stand Upper aren’t you 🤭 plenty of Non league esque chants creeping in. It was good to hear some volume from the East Stand. That’s where many of us started off 🙌🏽
