Marquis. His composure at such a vital time is a key factor for us being a football league club today. We also lost all tempo and threat when he went off.

2142  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Wilder is a HERO on: May 03, 2014, 22:05:12 pm
I was happy at the time with the appointment, and delirious today. Wilder and Knill have done a fantastic job, and I really feel optimistic with them at the helm next year.

Thank you for saving our club, and thank you for uniting the supporters.

Well I was with you all day, and looked forward to a blog post about it.

It was worth the wait, because that was a great read Fred.

This was a bloody good away day.
2146  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Away the lads on: April 26, 2014, 23:14:00 pm
Only one away defeat in 2014. Its refreshing going to away games and not expecting to lose Smiley

Toney. Absolutely superb.
2148  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Dagenham & Redbridge away by train... on: April 24, 2014, 15:49:39 pm
7.33 still for me. For those of us not on twitter, is it the spoons at Liverpool St which has been discussed?
2149  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Dagenham Match Tickets on: April 22, 2014, 15:17:57 pm
Less than 30 of the original 1,000 remain, and 500 arrive tomorrow  Smiley
2150  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Dagenham Match Tickets on: April 22, 2014, 10:01:45 am
They have made a huge mistake not making this all ticket. I think we'll have hundreds there without tickets.
2151  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Dagenham & Redbridge away by train... on: April 22, 2014, 09:59:23 am
Adult fare by train is as cheap as £9.00 return if you book 2 singles at £4.50 each using London Midland 25% off sale.

If you get the 0733 the cost is £9.00, some fans are thinking of getting the 0805 train but the cost jumps to £16.50 (2 x £8.25 single fares)

http://www.londonmidland.com/days-out-and-offers/attractions-and-offers/rail-sale/

The only downside is you have to travel on the train you book.

Yeah this is why I was looking at the 7:33  Smiley Even cheaper with a railcard  Cool

Get your @rse down the Super Sausage cafe, corner of St Andrews Road, and Spencer Bridge.
Opens at 6am, and just a 5 minute walk from the station. It will be full of claret shirts.   Smiley

Might just do that  Smiley

Emile Sinclair gets a special mention for the worst performance that I can remember from a Northampton Town player.

IVAN TONEY gets my vote.

Right then, time to rally the troops. What train are people getting?

Me and my mate are on the 7:33.
2155  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Relegation Watch! on: April 20, 2014, 21:11:01 pm
What if its a draw?

I'll get back to you after the game tomorrow  Cool Wink

My personal thought is that the loser of Hartlepool v Morecambe is going to drop.
2157  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: That ultras song on: April 20, 2014, 10:26:18 am
The speed of the songs is what stops others joining in which unfortunately the chav army don't realise

This 100%.
2158  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: That ultras song on: April 19, 2014, 18:00:41 pm
Without doubt the most embarrassing song we sing is to Kelvin Langmead and contains the line "he used to be ****e but now he's alright"

Regardless of whether this is meant to refer to his days playing for peeturdboro of his initial few months at the club it has to go. He looks awkward when he hears it and that's enough of a reason !

This was another thing I forgot to mention. A few reasons why I hate that version of the song.

A) He was never shi*e.
B) How would you feel being told you used to be shi*e by a large number of people when you are applauding them.
C) The words are "he played for the sh*te".

Oh and while I remember, why do some of our songs get sang at 100 mph?

2159  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Relegation Watch! on: April 19, 2014, 16:00:07 pm
Great couple of results today  Smiley Hartlepool v Morecambe is a huge game on Monday.
2160  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: That ultras song on: April 19, 2014, 13:52:02 pm
No such thing as an "ultra" in English football. Fact.

That point is irrelevant, and slightly wrong, as many teams supporters in this country are imitating Ultras groups from across the continent. Take Crystal Palace, Middlesbrough, Aston Villa, Accrington ect as examples.

What's your opinion on the song though?
