Do you? As I said, delusional. As to that Trust meeting to which you keep referring, bit hypocritical considering you were one of those belittling the poor sod who spoke out.
With regards the SOS fund, how the hell would you know what I did or didn't contribute? Huh? More Neverbrite bullcrap!

Morning great one? How are you today?

In my dad's case he was up and about the next day and, Wycombe incident aside, never really looked back. That was four and a half years ago, he's now 83 and still walks all over the place, goes to the Cobblers and looks after his allotment.

The Mods will get pissed off with 'Hip replacements' on the Redev Thread so will make no more references to said incident. Thanks all the same.
104  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: November 22, 2018, 20:25:01 pm
Hip replacement closer than ever thread;

My mother (84) has just had her 2nd hip op - not doing great tbh, though after her first she was great, infact getting the bus to Northampton from Leicester every Saturday, sometimes meeting her for a beer before going our separate ways!

It’s amazing how many of you chaps now articulate on Dads and Mums who have ‘suffered’ from this type of surgery. The success rate appears to be positive tho’! How much is a half term season tkt?
105  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: November 22, 2018, 20:08:09 pm
You slacker, Evers! My dad had the same thing and was up, about and at Wycombe away a couple of weeks after. Mind you, some drunken tosspiece amongst our away following crashed into him while trying to escape the stewards escorting him out of the ground and sent my dad sprawling on the floor so with hindsight it probably wasn't a great idea...

Hope your recovery goes well!

Well thanks BoN - sounds if yr Dad was lucky not to dislocate his thigh.
106  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Taking of Grimsby Pelham 123. November 24/11. on: November 22, 2018, 15:33:06 pm
I get you.
What about a late Cornell header then?..

Grin , loving it aren't you?

I would prefer a Cornell penalty with anti Cornellites frantic with worry?
107  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: November 22, 2018, 12:13:35 pm
I also forward best wishes to Evers.  My wife had the exact same operation just a couple of months ago and found it very difficult to fully recover. I was going to say found it very hard to get back on her feet which would be strictly true but not perhaps PC in this instance.  Anyway hope all goes well for you Evers.

That’s bad luck
108  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Taking of Grimsby Pelham 123. November 24/11. on: November 22, 2018, 12:11:57 pm
i dont think anyone will agree with this

I can - more in hope than realistic CS!
109  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Taking of Grimsby Pelham 123. November 24/11. on: November 22, 2018, 12:07:14 pm
I think he's calling him a wànker, Evers.

Surely not😉
110  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: November 22, 2018, 09:43:16 am
Look after yourself. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Look forward to seeing you back at Sixfields soon

Thks Macc - proper Gent 😎
111  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: November 22, 2018, 09:23:31 am
If you were any sort of real fan you'd be making sure of getting up to games, even if it meant hiring a disability scooter. Pathetic. Bloody part-time-bandwagon-jumping wanna-be. You should be ashamed. Tongue Kiss

ETA: I forgot to call you delusional, with regards your re-writing the history regarding your unequivocal support for Big-Bald Dave. Roll Eyes

I met BBD at a car show just before his infamous era of disrepute. He was cordial and easy going! Why on earth you never turned up at that fateful Feb Trust meeting to expose him I will never know? If I remember you were vociferous against him. I am afraid your style is not mine and I dislike the sort of personal criticism/abuse dished out by some on here. You still see it with stuff aimed at certain Ex Managers and current players! Still I contributed to the SOS fund which is more than you did you tight fisted rascal. Proper keyboard warrior. Always remember Hallam putting you to the sword during those heady DC days!
112  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Taking of Grimsby Pelham 123. November 24/11. on: November 22, 2018, 08:53:41 am
You’re more ménage a un than ménage a trois

So how do you come to that conclusion? It’s a bit up Franks street?
113  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Taking of Grimsby Pelham 123. November 24/11. on: November 21, 2018, 23:00:27 pm
3-0 FT. Hoskins brace and a late Cornell header.

You are just trying to upset the natives. Grin
114  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: November 21, 2018, 17:50:09 pm
Tony
I’m not going through the thousand odd pages and it’s old history
I give you credit as a fellow cobblers fan who attends many more games than myself nowadays due to ill health
Il apologise to you personally face to face if you think I have anything to apologise for,you will unfortunately have to come over mine for a coffee as I can no longer attend games and no longer have a season ticket.
Feel free to pm me and come over to visit any time you like and we can spend an hour talking ancient history.
In the meantime let’s hope the stand is finished this decade.

Ok, fair comment. Unfortunately I am recovering from a full right hip replacement and will miss many games upto Christmas and even that timetable maybe optimistic.
115  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: November 21, 2018, 17:16:07 pm
You will be receiving no such apology
You were one on here who defended the cardozas when all around were trying their best to unearth information regards the situation.
You only have to go back through the thread to see that.
There is of course nothing wrong with making a genuine mistake but it does show a lack of judgement on your part.
Fair play to you for joining the trust I am also a member myself so we do have something in common.
I stand by my statement that cobblers fans in general have an alarming level of apathy and if it wasn’t for the actions of a few on here things may not have been bought to a head quick enough.
Luckily the posts are all still on here and the timeline/history is intact.

The posts are indeed for all to read - again you are making misleading comments. Have another read?
116  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Karl Henry? on: November 21, 2018, 17:10:52 pm
I was suggesting that since the ethos you refer to as you point out, is in your opinion that of Keith curles then logic suggests that any questions regards this should be aimed in his direction.
I obviously wouldn’t be able to determine another persons ethos.
As regards the original question posed, the answer you were actually looking for if you were intending to answer it would appear to be no.

Wow - make of that what you will🙃
117  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: November 21, 2018, 16:31:37 pm
You only need to spend time sitting in the West Stand to realise how apathetic and outdated people who turn up at Sixfields are. I agree the away form support and encouragement they give the team is good, but at Sixfields the atmosphere is at best on a par with that at
Kingsthorpe cemetery.

Where do you sit ? As where I do in area M134 - M164 it is hardly that. Am I just lucky?
118  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: November 21, 2018, 16:28:58 pm
The reason why its all gone quiet is quite simple.

Played 11, won 6, drawn 3, lost 2.

I have found the ‘apathetic’ support exhibited at recent matches very positive and at times quite moving.
One isolated example was those behind the goal at Macclesfield on a cold wet night. Over 300 attended probably more than Exeter!
119  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: November 21, 2018, 16:17:17 pm
Turning up to a game is one thing
Demanding change is another.
Remember the we want answers campaign??
About 200 fans (I was one and still have my ?)had the bollocks to be stood up and heard while radio northampton took the **** out of the protest.
I’d imagine it was around the time you were still on here defending the cardozas and were in flat denial of any wrongdoing.
Basically you backed the wrong horse then and you are therefore the last person I’d expect to criticise the shambolic situation regards the redevelopment.

I am naturally suspicious of those who decide to adopt a high moral tone in their argument. In Feb 2015 at the height of the DC era during which this Forum was awash with rumours, there was a Trust Meeting in which DC attended. This was a great opportunity for those who saw through DC’s schemes to expose him. Only one turned up ; Ineista who attempted to query him without any support from the floor. Were where you on the day to support him?  Yet you talk of the apathy malaise - so welcome to the club. I found your account full of inaccuracies, untruths and fake information. My ‘support’ as you call it was in protest against the personal vilification of then Chairman in hindsight naive but identical to the sort of vilification dished out to former managers and more recently certain members of the playing staff! Incidentally I joined the Trust and contributed to the fund on a regular basis. Under the circumstances please apologise for your unsubstantiated comments. Thank you.
120  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: November 21, 2018, 13:53:53 pm
I think it’s best to say nothing and let the club stagnate.
That’s always been the cobblers way.
The fact that the cobblers have the most apathetic fan base(unlike Exeter/forest green) will not have been lost on various chairman over the years.

I think that is simply not correct - over 2k went to an away game recently which is hardly an apathetic mindset.

One of the reasons KT came here from Oxford is the goodwill emanating from the support
you are often happy to criticise.
