It's not nonsence. It's bang on - and you know it! Just hurts eh, that you fit the profile to a tee? ..............and that coming from a Tory member; your too keen on the practice of sophistry! Which profile Einstein , have read the DT and Times if only for the sport. Mind you the Times had an interesting article recently on a woman resorting to unusual activities with another.

Oh, I don't know. I've just found the exact quote and I think it's genuinely refreshing:
I see politicians on TV every night telling us that this is a **** momentous decision that could **** change Britain forever and blah, blah, blah. It’s like, okay, why don’t you **** do what we pay you to do which is run the **** country and make your **** mind up....What are you asking the people for? 99 percent of the people are thick as pig ****.
Sounds about right to me. Cameron made a huge mistake in promising a referendum just to prevent a few numpties jumping ship to UKIP during the general election.
Oh, and while we're putting the world to rights, I have to agree with the general concensus on Corbyn - I'm sure he's a lovely bloke and idealism is always nice in a politician but it needs to be backed up with a healthy dose of reality, something he seems to have a tenuous relationship with. I think a lot of his success was down to appealing to the younger voters who thought they'd be getting everything for nothing if he won.
You wont get many votes if you believe that your fellow countrymen are thick. Personally I think your views on this are scandalous. Do you seriously believe Noel G is a reliable person to use as an example. As you said its your opinion!

he struggles with examples
The point is that Parkie decided to use Brexit claiming that 52% of the population were thick or worse. That example you and a couple of others refer is not an legitimate example, not even an accurate description for a start. Of course you can read into it as much as you like to suit your argument. I think the problem you have is that if people don't follow your way of thinking you resort to some childish comments. Parkies comments would not be entertained in a normal debate.

It was a perfectly fine comment. I used an example to prove a point
Of course I see your point but the mistake you made was referring to Brexit. Why stigmatize your fellow countrymen in that manner?

I'd say it's quite an accurate comment actually. Sticking with Coolcat's Oasis theme, I'm firmly in Noel Gallagher's camp when he said important things shouldn't be decided by a referendum as the majority of voters are too thick to bother understanding the issues.
That's a fine yardstick to use - Noel Gallagher, wow pure genius

the second sentence, clearly. it's like you act deliberately thick on purpose.
I was referring to Parklands comment on Brexit which as far as I am concerned had no relevance to CobblersMad post. To be quite frank I sometimes find your comments "it's like you act deliberately thick on purpose". Either that you haven't recovered from the referendum result. You come across as a half baked pseudo intellectual with so much awesome power!

Also, I'm confused by the criticism of Matt Taylor against Newport. Aside from a sh1t touch leading to the goal he was actually pretty classy throughout!
There are a few posters on here who probably have a dismal appreciation of one of our few classier performers who happened to score 7 goals and 11 assists last season. They seem to base their opinions on players who run around like scolded cats; get their shorts muddied and tackle like a Neanderthal. I am not remotely an expert on how to judge players but do at least appreciate some of Taylor's contributions.

Also the Sun is the biggest selling newspaper isn't it? Even so, the Daily Mail reader of all the nationals is the easiest to most accurately characterise; Middle age upwards. Thinks they are too intelligent to read a tabloid...but in truth way below being able to handle the Telegraph or Times. Oh, and a tad conservative! Surprised at you being dragged into this and issuing nonsense comments.

I think you forget 52% of people voted for brexit. The majority of this country are idiots.
What a terrible comment - what has Brexit got to do with this thread?

Well I thought we were shocking, Newport had far more of the game than we did and certainly did not deserve to lose the match. Every ball was just lumped up field to no one in particular and it was no surprise when it just came back. If we play like that every week there will be no point in playing Billy Waters. I thought we were too slow, especially Matt Taylor who had a shocker and was responsible for their goal having lost the ball in midfield for the umpteenth time. The defence looked shaky, but looked better when Ash Taylor came on. There was one time in the first half when Regan Poole was outpaced by their lump of a number 10 Nouble who frankly we couldn't cope with. I hope we are not going to play with three centre backs on a regular basis because although it worked ok against Derby it didn't work today as we were overrun in midfield.
On the plus side I thought Yasir had a good first half and Long's goal was superb. I also thought Rico was 100% better than Revell. Cornell did nothing wrong but although Newport bossed the game for me, he was not seriously tested. They did miss several chances though.
Personally I think we need another game before Saturday and we definitely need JJ back asap.
Was not there but your report seems a decent and actual account how it unfolded. Thanks

I thought it was a very impressive performance against a decent Championship side. Our defence looked superb and all the new signings are an improvement on the players they have replaced.
The Chron normally does a man-for-man marking for Cobblers games but didn't for this one (presumably because it was a friendly). I've written a man-for-man marking below. Feel free to agree/disagree with it, it's just my opinion. Good effort

I know. We still have TEN days to sign them and gel them into the team and system before Shrewsbury. It'll be fine. Goalkeepers can just turn up on the day and play anyway. This was the plan all along.
Right?
Hope you of all supporters not losing yr nerve ?

What has age got to do with it Well work it out, taking into account the position required , experience plus just recovered from a broken ankle. Number 10 is a bit of a specialised position too!

We will struggle to tame these If as indicated they sign Niall Ennis from wolves on loan He played and scored against us in a pre season match last year and was outstanding on the day. Would have loved to have seen him here.
He is 18/19 yrs and just recovered from broken ankle. No thanks.

That's your own opinion, so it's not end of... He's 33... not 40.
He's still got a few seasons left in him, there's players a lot older than him playing in higher divisions than us.
Roberts - too slow according to Pompey board. Also he is injury prone and on high wage, again according to Pompey!
