We were very average tonight and virtually without any cutting edge . We are also very laboured in our passing . On the plus side we defended quite well and produced the only bit of skill to win the game . We need more width and the passing has to be crisper . Good to win though
Your man Taylor again

What on earth are you going on about? I actually mentioned Oldham 0-0 (even though it was a game I didn't go to) as a comparison; I went to Stourbridge and from a neutrals perspective and entertainment aspect was far better than the game on Saturday. You seem to be confusing playing well (and being effective) to entertainment value. Saturdays game as far as a spectacle was the worst game I have seen this season BUT given the type of game it was, an almost 'safe' opposition and the importance of it to us, we turned up with a plan and pretty much executed it to perfection. You mentioned that people around you were not unhappy before we scored. Neither was I, neither I doubt was anybody else in the away pen. But it wasn't entertaining. Far from it. Thats all I said, didn't make a huge point of it yet to seem intent on trying to say that the game itself wasn't 'that bad'. It was; If I wasn't a Cobblers fan or Wimbledon fan on Saturday I would have been bored sh1tless. If Id been at Stourbridge in the capacity of a neutral I would have been fairly engaged; the way the team 4 leagues below the supposed professional outfit outplayed them, creating chances, hitting the woodwork (twice) before scoring a late winner would have been 'entertaining' to see. Only Oldham this season (that I could think of) would have been an actual worse game than the one on Saturday. Interestingly you only mention 2 matches, which suggests that you are actually arguing with yourself! You are missing the point and you are now changing the goal posts . The simple fact is that the game was not 'truly awful'. The Oldham/Stourbridge game were quoted as examples of worse games. In fact Oldham (a) was a relentless boring affair with little to commend it. Compared with Saturdays effort Oldham (a) was a truly awful game. Now you go on about entertainment 😄- You may be disappointed in this if you follow the Cobblers. By the way how is Mrs Précis these days?

I think JED has to play Rod in this game . He can't afford for Diamond to suffer a permanent injury with Zakuani also out . I would also play Moloney personally . His attacking threat has been missed .
Instead of whom - Maestro?

On Saturday, if Wimbledon had been given the penalty they should have been given, - would have been on the harsh side but seen them given
they didn't really want the 3 points either. ... your going soft
It made for a totally dire, non eventful match… bit different from your "A truly dreadful game" even then you exaggerate with "totally". Why dont you use the Oldham/Stourbridge games as a yardstick?
Whilst Taylors cross was a good one.............. than any quality that one of our own players produced..... Taylor's cross caused their player to panic - not luck at all. Pure quality
And I doubt any hotel ender that you refer to as me misleading would have a given sh1t either way. Because for once, luck was on our side and we won a game of football away from home…the first of 2017!...............round me most were happy(prior to the 85min) with a point and nobody was complaining about the performance before the penalty.
In this instance I think you are wrong to suggest "A truly dreadful game" because it wasn't, might have been dull etc. You obviously missed the Oldham game and one or two other games by the sound of it.

It wasn't a defensive display particularly, it was just a sh1t game between two teams, both of which looked happy to take a point. One got lucky in the end and took home 3, the other didn't. For once it was us that got the luck, we've been lacking in that department this season. Anyway. You clearly know what the definition of 'a truly dreadful game' is. Dull and lacking in real quality. God bless you! You said "A truly dreadful game" which it wasn't. There is a little difference between " Dull and lacking in real quality" and a "Truly dreadful game". Most of us had settled for a draw. You mention luck - we happened to have Taylor whose quality cross and subsequent penalty made our luck happen! Still think you have misled Hotel Enders.

A truly dreadful game…
No it wasn't, dull and lacking in real quality yes. From a Wimbledon perspective you might be right as they lost. Defensive displays like this always attract negative comments. Please withdraw your comment.

One good early run and ball across to pick out Williams (who should have scored) and one run in the 2nd half aside pretty anonymous! Id have boateng in ahead of him every day of the week!
Kesh did okay when he came on too tho!
Wylde did do a lot of covering and when he had a chance to run at Wimbledon - he looked effective. As we were on a defensive game Wylde had little chance to shine. I think the Chron got it right in their match analysis - he got a 6/10! Would still keep a winning side injuries permitting! Smith had little to do but did ok when called on. He knows how to waste time - when he gathered a loose ball (final 4 mins)he promptly fell to the ground hugging the ball. Must have wasted at least 30secs! Both full backs played well - I like Phillips some razor sharp tackling and suffered a harsh booking; he was up against a lively winger too! Buchanan also good. JJOT grew into the game more so second half. Taylor was more than adequate. As for Williams , not so sure looked ineffective against some Wimbledon opposition. Was hoping to see McCourt come on for him! Richards and Smith played their part ; more so Smith who forced some hasty clearances from their defenders - deserved a goal. The real stars of the win was the defense as a unit particularly Nyatanga ; how he attracts so much criticism is beyond me. Diamond played very well some brave headers and blocks; very determined to win the ball. In the added 4 minutes one character in the away "gentleman's stand" was getting very irate with the referee for not blowing his whistle sooner. He proclaimed very loudly a few times that his watch was correct and time was up. Loved it!

If you look on the Oxford forum, it can clearly be seen and explained. Stuart Donald, Eastleigh's chairman, good friend of KT and helped us out to the tune of £50,000 I believe has been asked by Daryl Eales (OUFC chairman) to come on board so as to speak. No mention (when I last looked anyway) at all of KT or a Russian being involved, as hasn't been aired either in these parts!* * A short Rumours thread aside, that has only courted humoured responses! Yes quite correct see " http://www.yellowsforum.co.uk/thread/25449/rumours". Not a mention of KT either. In fact there is slightly more on the Hotel End! Perhaps the source of the "rumour" could reveal how he came about it

Sorry I don't agree with the comments about Taylor. Watched from just behind the dug-out first half and had an eye on MT most of first half. He holds position excellently, a good few tackles and good distribution. Always a threat at free kicks and a good penalty in the corner. A decent shift I thought.
He is a bit of an enigma - on this occasion your comments on Taylor are about right. The way I look at it is would we have won that game without him? Probably not. Where would we be this season without his goals and assists. Not worth going there on that one! On one of the highlights it showed Taylors cross(for the penalty) from behind him. That cross arrowed in towards the left hand post - how many of our players can execute a delivery like that. Sheer class.

You honestly believe that if Page was still here we'd be in this position? Deluded if so.
I am not an apologist for 78 but where your suggestion about Page falls down it is based on an assumption. However realistic your prediction is it doesn't hold any 'water'!
