From Chron Cobblers reporter James Heneghan:
NTFC team: Smith, Moloney, Diamond, Zakuani, Buchanan; Anderson, O'Toole, McCourt, Hoskins, Hooper, Revell
Looks a bit like the Skun team sel only real query is Hooper

Don't state opinion as fact. I believe Accrington started last season top of league 2 whilst we were lower mid table. Look how that turned out.
There is a fair chance that might have sailed over a few heads!

You paying for us all then? You couldn't be bothered to go to a game the other week so how about you pack in the superfan crap?
Was unwell! and dont have much spare cash either. As for missing Millwall it was a big disappointment.

I actually thought around about the sixty minute mark, we were coming into the game and would score and push them to the end, but alas that didn't happen and they broke to finish the game off. Yes it was a poor performance and it hurts deeply to have lost in the manner we did, especially to them, but we must encourage the lads now, starting Saturday to halt this poor run. I don't do that many away games a season, but will be going Saturday to cheer the lads on to 3pts ,UTC.
If only a few on here would share your "attitude" we could then be more confident of a decent result at Salop.

.................SMITH.................. MOLONEY..ZAK..NYATANGA..BUCHS ..................McCOURT................... ................JJOT.....BYROM............. POTTER........REVELL.......ANDERSON
Bit difficult to drop Hoskins; Potter ok for me not sure about Anderson. Should imagine the way to beat Shrewsbury is by pressing them non stop and speedy counter attacks.

A few drama Queens on here. We lost to our main rivals 3-0, we didn't play well, our manager got it wrong. It was not the first time, it won't be the last but that's what supporting The Cobblers is all about. Dry your tears, get over it and get on to the next game...

Who is this "WE" you refer to?? Fine, say you're happy, but not "WE"!
I think the 12th position thing is not all its cracked up to be......glass half full (3 points off the playoffs) or glass half empty (3 points off the relegation zone)
We (NTFC) have played 19 games in all competitions this season and won 5..."We" happy with that?
Bristol Rovers are 10th, we are 12th and Oxford are 13th...all much of a muchness, but history tells you were were streets ahead of them last season. So have they caught up or have we fallen back?
It's all subjective at the end of the day.......depends on your viewpoint of what YOUR expectations were. Some people demanded promotion, some people would be happy with 20th.
That's why its difficult to be happy with events, pi55ed off with events, happy with Page or unhappy!
"You're only as good as your last game"...so the saying goes......and in the last game we were crap.....so that's where I am at the moment!!
Lighten up GPC!

Mccourts outrageous tackle against MK Dons which he had zero right to win resulted in one of my favourite goals this season. Absolutely love his style of play and personally expect/accept he will spend a few games suspended this season.
As was JJOT's tackle in the Swindon game!

I'm still furious. I've been following and supporting the Cobblers for five years and I've never felt so angry after a game. The day after a game when I have felt angry, I've always felt optimistic. But this is different- the abject failure of the team on Tuesday night is still shocking to me.
And of all games, it was the local derby! Bah!
5 years , suggest you steel yourself for a few more like that. It happens to all great sides or even Clubs.

Think the last few displays will have dampened people's enthusiasm for a game on Saturday.
Typical comment from you - fortunately not every supporter has a mindset like you! Not that you go to away games anyway

2 days later, and I'm still pissed off about it. Am I alone in this?
Clearly not! It wasn't the fact that we lost ; it was the manner in how we lost. Above all the selection which led to the loss. However well Mr Page does in the future the result will stain his record. He has a chance in November to atone for the disaster.

All I ask Mr Page to do is pick a team with the best players in their best positions - no square pegs in round holes.....please
Guide for Mr Page
Smith Mahoney - Diamond - Zakuani - Buchanan Hoskins - McCourt - JJOT- Byrom - Gorre Revell
subs to include Nayatanga, D'ath, GK, etc
Please tell McCourt to go easy on his tackling and JJOT too! Perhaps we should consider gamesmanship tactics on Toney and Deagan?.
