Can someone buy Beds a half to fill his glass up a bit?

That sounds a bit like Henry 2nd and his quarrel with Thomas a Beckett "who will rid me of this troublesome ****** "
13022  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Welcome Harry Beautyman on: July 22, 2016, 11:31:28 am
Very possible, but then I'd suggest using the phrase "whole career as a footballer" is slightly misleading?

"slightly" - understatement by a long chalk.
13023  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Tickets please...... on: July 21, 2016, 21:36:33 pm
Of course it doesn't. Compare the cost of watching top flight football in many European countries (Germany included) and you'll see just how much the punters are being screwed over in the English (British?) game. Coolcat wasn't talking about the Cobblers insomuch it's the whole set-up of football over here that's flawed.

Why are you representing Coolcat? Are you one of the same? How do you assume that you that can interpretate accurately what Coolcat is saying.
13024  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Tickets please...... on: July 21, 2016, 19:58:57 pm
.............. especially when comparing prices in Germany, Italy, Spain et-al!

Great argument comparing our prices with Germany etc. You can only compare our prices with other L1 clubs otherwise your argument falls apart.

Beauty Mode ON!!

Ha ha ha haaaa

Expect you will be home and away supporter now that Beauty is with us!

I agree with this, I still smile about when he sent four players the wrong way, with one touch, Oxford last year.

Remember that well - but thought it was three plus the Oxford End behind the goal. Must admit I too had to adjust position in my seat.
13027  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Summer Transfer Targets on: July 21, 2016, 19:45:52 pm
Really? Have you ever seen them on the same pitch at the same time?

No but from reports on both players it is fairly obvious that they are different type of players. You may well be right that interest has died on Grant but as they are different types of footballers the situation may change.
13028  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Tickets please...... on: July 21, 2016, 16:45:40 pm
Vocal?  Do you mean me?
I have an excuse, however I did attend 10 (I think) away games last term.

Big difference between Plymouth and Leicester for attending home games!
13029  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Summer Transfer Targets on: July 21, 2016, 16:31:44 pm
Yes.

Not so sure on that one as Beauty and Grant are two different players
13030  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Tickets please...... on: July 21, 2016, 12:39:30 pm

And by trudging to Sixfields I mean exactly that.People who renew season tickets every year, go every week without question and without thinking I would suggest that they took a step back a minute.

You completely missed the point - the highlighted parts are merely examples of your attitude. As for your other reasons - fine , its your money etc and choice.
13031  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: July 21, 2016, 12:34:41 pm
They've got around the lack of capacity issue and loss of revenue that it causes by charging £24 a ticket to away fans and those loyal cobblers fans who pay on the day.
Smaller gates but 1% rise in gate revenue...

Marvellous work boys

Manipulative (and cynical) extortion of the facts. The £2.00 rise is aimed at the anticipated away support - its not rocket science! It does however penalize potential non s/t home support. What KT could do is offer home support reduced prices based on banks of 5 games or similar.
13032  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Tickets please...... on: July 21, 2016, 11:42:55 am

far better than trudging to Sixfields every other week.

poor attitude

Why, are you having a bit of a do?

I sometimes enjoy these spasmodic exchanges -some on here maybe in awe of you, but hoped TCobb would take up the gauntlet Cool. Apologies to all concerned.
13037  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Summer Transfer Targets on: July 20, 2016, 12:06:42 pm
Well done Charlton

think that went straight over his head Deepcut!
13038  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: QPR. on: July 20, 2016, 12:04:20 pm
Or were they talking about us?

No chance Cool
13039  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: QPR. on: July 20, 2016, 12:02:17 pm
Yes, but three of the players from that midfield have since departed. Keep up Wink

Slightly misleading comment from you:

Holmes - from December onwards.
Adams - ended up as a squad player although he did make the last few games. More often that not was substituted.
Rose - Played well , dropped and then came back strongly.

In reality only Holmes is really missed; whilst IMO the other two had no previous experience in L1 (?)  - thought that there was a common consensus amongst the experts on here that L1 might be too much of a big step for them. I suppose your real point is that provided all three are replaced satisfactorily then we maybe up to speed.

Apparently Adams has 100 x L1 games under his belt.
13040  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: July 19, 2016, 21:30:43 pm
quote from Beds Cobblers "another outsourced stream of revenue so any profits will be seen by Nike share holders before any ageing journey man footballer / youth loanee/ extra 2000 seats / large supporters bar/ appearance in the championship. Hope that helps".

and what if it makes a loss ......
