Thanks Evers, you've just made me spit my sandwich out.  Grin
You're a funny guy, whether intentional or not.

Well you should know thru' negotiation strategy that it always help to get an "arch" critic on your side especially if he is capable of out manoeuvring/outwitting you lot. Cant be very nice sandwiches you are having to spit them out! Have you told Mrs Banana that you do this to her sandwiches?

The Trust should maintain its position on the board but I feel that it has failed to put pressure on DC and failed to inform fans of the difficulties and problems happening at the club.

Go on R join the Trust and apply for the vacant position - job done, I think?
14564  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Protest on: September 22, 2015, 11:20:38 am
I think Andy Clarke's resignation represents a big statement of protest.

Are you sure - has Andy been in touch with you?
14565  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Protest 2nd stage targeting the Council on: September 22, 2015, 11:16:28 am
Probably a logical step but needs some thought and aims to be considered. If I were you Drillers try and get Hallam on board to help on this issue. He may have the expertise to assist in this exercise, certainly got the debating skills and IQ to match.
14566  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Andy Clarke resigns as Trust's elected representative on board of NTFC on: September 22, 2015, 11:09:22 am
Surely it was set up to represent the fans from it's position ON the Board of Directors?  Isn't that the whole point of the Trust?

If it distances itself from the club in a legal sense then it becomes completely impotent.

better post from you RA Cool
14567  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Andy Clarke resigns as Trust's elected representative on board of NTFC on: September 22, 2015, 11:06:38 am
Just to clarify the situation, is this Andy Clark of the Trust, the same Trust that most people on here have been completely slating for the last few months for their inaction etc, etc.  No wonder he has decided to resign....

Probably quite true Bath Cobbler even if Mr Insider tries to hide from the fact that there was some unhelpful comments made against the Trust. I spent many a long journey on the coach sitting next to Andy and enjoyed hearing his opinions. From what I can gather he did not spend much time on here if at all. More often than not he was the only Director attending an away game and some of his tales from opponents Board Rooms were amusing. I shall miss him and congratulate him on his service to the Trust, The Club and indirectly, some of you miserable lot! He is a good man to "lose" and it would be appropriate for most on here to support a motion for him to reconsider his resignation.

Suggestions / questions for the continued campaign

Do we stick with we want answers?   .....yes
Do we focus on the missing money?  ..............No point
Do we educate fans further with a timeline of events?...............yes
Do we ask what will happen if takeover doesn't happen?................no point
Do we focus on one of those questions and go into more detail?.............no
Do we march on Sixfields and the Council?....no
Do we ask questions directly to the council?..............yes
Do we focus on DC business partners and structures?............no

New Chant...  we want answers, when do we want them? NOW.......never at a game so No

Think there should be more chanting aimed at DC,  wheres the money gone?   £12 m and u f8cked it up !!   You're not fit to run our club   etc etc .....simple no

The idea is to win hearts and minds of supporters and personally I don't think you can quite manage that with items with no against them.

14570  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Protest on: September 21, 2015, 15:15:04 pm
DC says we had a facility of £13.5m in his tv interview

FOI documents say DC / NTFC have taken £10.75m, which we are paying interest on !

He is obviously not able to draw down any more

Assume Everbrite and Hallam are happy with this as DC has shown not to be a greedy b8888888 by not taking it all. How nice of him

Thanks Random but please try to remain cordial - so it is £10.75mill - not £12mill
14571  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Protest on: September 21, 2015, 15:10:25 pm
pretty sure some of Hallam's posts ARE libellous. Can we have his IP address so we can do a group action against him?  Grin Grin

Personally I don't even bother reading his posts, nor everbrite as they NEVER actually put anything forward to support their position, just mock and troll everyone else

Thanks Random but slight contradiction there as you apparently never read our posts Roll Eyes
Please don't necessarily compare me with Hallam as I am in favour of a protest which seeks answers.
14572  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Protest on: September 21, 2015, 15:00:15 pm
1. NBC loaned NTFC £12m "on the condition" that it was used for the redevelopment of Sixfields

Question - is it £12mill or £10.75mill? You are saying one figure and Mrs Markham says another. Which is it please?
14573  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Protest on: September 21, 2015, 12:33:13 pm
So Everbrite self-appointed spokesman for the fans educate us please about the fans think about the redevelopment

Do it for yourself and in any case the overall response from rank and file support to the last protest was some what disappointing. Thought that would have told you something Roll Eyes - oh no that wont work its not on your agenda. You are so far down on your vitriolic campaign that is now impossible to even contemplate a more rational approach. Good luck though with your wishes.
14574  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Protest on: September 21, 2015, 12:23:31 pm
You tell 'em mate.

Trying to (peacefully) raise awareness of some under-publicised concerns and requesting a modicum of transparency from the board of the club like a bunch of absolute tw@ts.

Makes my blood boil.

You are missing the point - Hallam is protesting against the mud slinging and some highly dubious comments posed by a few on here who have hijacked the protest in the name of the majority support.
14575  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Protest on: September 21, 2015, 12:17:51 pm
For being concerned about the clubs future? Yeah alright then Dave

So you and a few others are the only ones concerned about the clubs future Roll Eyes - strikes me you just dont understand the majority of fans views on the ReDev. You need to mix with the grass root support and engage with a few before labeling the majority of support with a few misguided comments.
14576  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: September 20, 2015, 19:06:23 pm
No. But you obviously have... though that's to be expected Tongue

troll
14577  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: September 20, 2015, 19:02:49 pm
The ones that don't care are quite happy with us being a mediocre club in the bottom division. They don't have any ambition so a debt attached to the club that could end up having serious consequences is irrelevant to them.

Total rubbish if thats your opinion on the "average" Cobblers fan - try telling that to a supporter and see how you fare.
14578  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: September 20, 2015, 18:56:42 pm
No where to go?? I've not read one single post from anyone against a take over? Only vitriol towards an individual that has loaded the club with a crippling debt.

The club is millions in debt, does that not register with you? A bona fide supporter would be concerned, but you are obviously not.

You have competely missed the point.
14579  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Protest on: September 20, 2015, 14:20:10 pm
Excellent post Devon, and one from someone who appears to have some knowledge on the subject which is somewhat a rarity on this board, most seem to throw as much mud as they can, hoping it sticks somewhere.

The truth is, they're all chasing their tails or put more appropriately, all running round in circles chasing the wrong hare. David Cardoza has made a deal with the council for a business loan. Unless there were clauses to state what that loan was to pay for then he has done little wrong other than making a huge mistake but of course he's not allowed to make mistakes is he? For one second does anybody really believe this is how he thought things would turn out? Did he really want to be left with a three-sided ground? Of course not. Anyhow, the truth is he doesn't have to answer any of your questions. It's his club, his loan, his debt and it is he who is making the repayments, on time.  Unless that situation changes you're all pissing in the wind. If I was Cardoza I'd tell you all to mind your own bloody business. All you lot are is customers and your only right is to stop going and giving him your money, fat chance of that.

If you want answers then ask for them from somebody who is actually accountable to you and that's the elected council. Why did they lend him the money, why was it as such a good rate, why were there no clauses put in place to ensure the money was spent on the proposed facilities and why does it make commercial sense for the ratepayers of Northampton to allow this man to control the land surrounding Sixfields in order to make a huge profit to pay off the loan which the Council gave in the first place (and more besides). Why couldn't the council do it themselves?

Ask the right questions in the right places and you might get some joy.

Relunctantly have to agree that is a well thought out and interesting summary "summary" or even opinion. Hope to see some riveting comments  from the other side.
14580  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: September 20, 2015, 14:09:15 pm
Ah I see, now I get it. You're saying that whatever happens, whatever reasons become apparent, whatever circumstances may have occurred, whatever unforeseen problems may have risen and whatever Cardoza says, you've already judged him guilty. No wonder he doesn't answer your questions, what is there for him to gain by doing so. My question would be, why do you keep asking them?

No fan of Marvo but what he says has a ring of authenticity about it. The point is that you(VC) and a few others have no idea where to go if indeed the take over goes thru'. TBH so vitriolic has been your protest that it is hard to see that you can claim to be a bona fide supporter.
