Spotted Dick....dropped on big toe.

Bitten by dog - happened to Chick Brodie.
42  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Injuries on: September 13, 2018, 19:21:16 pm
Itís called banter mate - you need to seriously chill out 😘

Any excuse to justify an unjustified comment. A cruciate injury is no joke not even in jest.

             Cornell
Facey - Williams - Barnett - Turnbull
      Mcwilliams - Foley
Hoskins    Crooks (FR)        Waters
                   VV

or

                  Cornell
Facey - Williams - Barnett - Turnbull
                  O'Toole
           Crooks - Foley
Hoskins                           Waters
                      VV

Its imperative that Crooks is given license to look for the ball further up the pitch, Hoskins should also be encouraged to look for interplay in and around the box rather than crossing from the by line.

Why do you insist on playing young Williams as a centre back  - he did not look quite ready for the role v Wycombe. He is a promising young player but to throw him in prematurely seems a bit impetuous. Play him as a sub perhaps or in the non league games?

What?  Grin

Wll done Frank ! You have woken up the 'sleepers' Wink
47  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Dean Austin on: September 13, 2018, 16:07:35 pm
To me he clearly leads with his left leg and brings him down. His + others lack of protests suggest it was stonewall! No other angles though to see if there was actual contact.

In my mind, it was poor marking with said player out of position; resulting in a poorly timed tackle =  grudgingly a penalty.
48  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: September 13, 2018, 16:00:24 pm
To satisfy Evers I will respond to your list with my view:
What we do know:
Probably only the middle one (4th) has an element of doubt.
What we don't know:
None of that are we necessarily entitled to know, but it would be nice if we knew some of it, especially the last one about Administration.

There you are VC - a nice bit of Precis for you!
49  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: September 13, 2018, 15:56:38 pm
That's fine. It is a discussion forum I believe.

Some of your comments on the Redev are not worthy or too risky for discussion. I do not remark or give opinions on the status of KT's tenure here as most probably I just dont know.  You need to read yr lenghty diatribe as its full of misleading opinions. You have been broadcasting the same message for over a year now 'a la Beds' to the extent it is highly boring. Why dont you give the playing side a chance? Surely at present that is a fertile ground for you?
50  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: September 13, 2018, 15:33:06 pm
What a cantankerous Sh1t you are, Everbrite.  You spend much of your time on this forum sniping at others and rarely express any view on redevelopment or ownership issues.  I am certainly not going to indulge you or speculate on what may or may not be afoot because I don't know what is happening.  I set out what is known and not known on the present state of affairs.  If anything is inaccurate let us readers share in your knowledge.

Typical response from you. Anybody who disagrees with your opinion(and its hardly that!) you go into a frenzy.
The simple fact is that you promoted a lenghty snipe at the owners/NTFC which you have bored many on here with your repetitive comments. Can you not change the record. As for opinions I would suggest I have given more opinions on the playing side - you go on and on about the Redev with nothing new or remotely interesting = prize bore Roll Eyes
51  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Injuries on: September 13, 2018, 15:25:27 pm
You really are such a bore

You are a fine one to comment - cynical old bore!
52  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Dean Austin on: September 13, 2018, 15:23:29 pm
i think its down to everything you have said, and a lack of both desire and effort

at 2-1 down and 3-1 down to cheltenham there was absolutely no desire shown by anyone to try and get us back into the game...............we were still happy to play 5 yard passes in slow motion between the 2 centre halves and crooks - who played deeper than any cheltenham player by about 20 yards - i think he must have made more passes than anyone, yet didnt affect the game is any way at all - just passing for passing sake.

no desire, no urgency, no application, no leadership, a lack of confidence resulting in a lack of responsibility on the pitch - with and without the ball.

You have been reading too much of "Nostradamus - 2018 edition"
53  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Injuries on: September 13, 2018, 15:19:58 pm
We need a nice cruciate injury on Saturday just to mix things up a bit!

That's a nice comment - you do realise how unpleasant said injury is ? Perhaps I lack your sense of humour or even wit Roll Eyes
54  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: September 13, 2018, 15:08:11 pm
What we do know

Our present owners are looking to sell the club

No progress has been made on the East Stand since the owners bought the club for £1.00 nearly 3 years ago

No plans have disclosed by our owners for the East Stand redevelopment or any wider plans

Our owners have shown no intention of developing Sixfields beyond paying lip service to completion of the East Stand but progressing nothing and blaming delays on the Council due to a boundary issue on 2 plots of land both of which are owned and controlled by our owners through NTFC & CDNL under long term leases

Front man KT has been silent for many months

The wage bill, if not the highest, is amongst the highest in League 2 and unsustainable by NTFC on present income.

That anyone considering taking over the club will have the cost of completing the East Stand to bear in addition to a big monthly wage bill to meet.

What we donít know

The asking price of Ventures for its majority shares in NTFC

The identity of any buyers

The status of any negotiations

If the CDNL land is part of the sale

The truth behind the 5USport debacle.

How much money (if any) 5USport invested and to whom did it go

What has happened to that Chinese invested money (if any)

How much of their own money (i.e. non 5USport originated money) have Bower & Thomas actually invested in NTFC

Did our present owners come here with any eye on future profits from the redevelopment of the land behind the East Stand

Whether or not any redevelopment plans exist

What agreement has been made with Buckingham Group

If the club is heading towards Administration

Is this an opinion, an item for discussion; as it follows your mantra of the last 12 months? You do realise that that is not a generally held view point on here? You do give the impression that you prefer to have a self justified  moan about things in general. Bet you are a happy bunny at Christmas time?

............................Has anyone seen KT at a game this season ?

If you dont know the answer to that then it is a worthless query. He was seen by 4000 fans minus one last game Roll Eyes

My Inbox on here. Also someone mentioned it to me on DM on Twitter.

I don't really see it as isn't the club pretty much breaking even. Or wasn't it?

Based on what is in your inbox you feel it is necessary to feed a rumour  based on hearsay? Who was the mystery provider? Was it a jilted girl friend or such like? Who or what is DM. All you do is encourage certain Nutters to seize upon the rumour add and even embellish it with a rant.

Got a photo of us, courtesy of the Chron,  celebrating as we scored in something like the 89th minute as we went 2-1 up, and the Vale fans started pouring out .... The rest is history.

Which year was that ?
