I’m out of options then. Seems like the squad are not alone in their affliction though?

Congratulations to you both for this late night/early morning debate. Melly why don’t you ask Frank why he finds Terry repugnant? It might give you the reason why.

Fair play to you if you do go, but you'd have to be absolutely bonkers to go to Burslem next week and pay actual money to watch us play.

Shouldn’t think those going would endorse your comments. Personally I think anybody going to support the team should be lauded.
63  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Trevor Gould on: September 14, 2018, 22:39:11 pm
The 15-year-old midfielder will cost Everton an initial £65,500 fee, which could rise to £1.3million depending on how many first-team games he plays for the Premier League side.

Transfer Window Review: Everton

Cobblers’ Academy boss Trevor Gould said they had “mixed feelings” about the player’s move.

“He is going to a fantastic club with a proud record of producing young players,” he told the BBC.

“Not only are we producing players for our own first team, we are producing players who are attracting the interest of Premier League clubs and that is a massive endorsement of our work,” added Gould.

“Seeing any local player have the opportunity to develop at a Premier League club is exciting and we wish Fraser every success.

“We always want to keep our best players, but under the EPPP if a player is wanted by a Premier League club then it is just about impossible for us to resist, given the processes set out as part of the EPPP.”

The EPPP was voted in by English clubs in 2011 to replace the old system and allows clubs to buy young players from lower leagues for a set fee, rather than going through the rigmarole of a tribunal.

Everton will pay Northampton £150,000 for every ten games Hornby plays in up to the 60-game-mark. After that, they will pay £100,000 for every 10 appearances up to 100, at which point they will no longer owe money for the 15-year-old.

O for Chris Hargreaves in his prime in the middle of the park. I would have him back at the club in a shot.

I don't think I could ever cheer for John Terry in any way shape or form.

Not even on loan?

Totally agree.

It is sad that Neverbrite thinks fans are interested with his 12030 views on everything, I just skip his postings.

The brave bitching from behind a keyboard is nearly as sad. Previously I've challenged a couple of posters to meet and repeat their insults to my face and shock, horror no backbone!!!

I presume most of us are passionate about our club and should channel energy's into getting some progress to a better future, instead of hiding behind a keyboard with pathetic inane  comments.

Over to the moderators.

Not aware had fallen out with you VI- still thats life. Happy to meet face to face although I thought we did at Barnet some three years agp

Oh okay, yes I do, sorry.

Is that it then?
67  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: September 13, 2018, 21:21:37 pm
I've no idea what you are on about, as usual.

Yes you do!
68  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Hiding behind the Vale on: September 13, 2018, 21:16:02 pm
Go on, I would love to see your back 4. Side naming is fun.

Here you are Frank:

McWilliams - Barnett - Turnbull - Buchanan

ps Turnbull can cover Buchs Wink

Spotted Dick....dropped on big toe.

Bitten by dog - happened to Chick Brodie.

It’s called banter mate - you need to seriously chill out 😘

Any excuse to justify an unjustified comment. A cruciate injury is no joke not even in jest.

You have seen his, how about you showing him yours?

bit frivolous Frank
73  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Hiding behind the Vale on: September 13, 2018, 16:53:21 pm
             Cornell
Facey - Williams - Barnett - Turnbull
      Mcwilliams - Foley
Hoskins    Crooks (FR)        Waters
                   VV

or

                  Cornell
Facey - Williams - Barnett - Turnbull
                  O'Toole
           Crooks - Foley
Hoskins                           Waters
                      VV

Its imperative that Crooks is given license to look for the ball further up the pitch, Hoskins should also be encouraged to look for interplay in and around the box rather than crossing from the by line.

Why do you insist on playing young Williams as a centre back  - he did not look quite ready for the role v Wycombe. He is a promising young player but to throw him in prematurely seems a bit impetuous. Play him as a sub perhaps or in the non league games?
74  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: September 13, 2018, 16:49:59 pm
What?  Grin

Wll done Frank ! You have woken up the 'sleepers' Wink
75  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Dean Austin on: September 13, 2018, 16:07:35 pm
To me he clearly leads with his left leg and brings him down. His + others lack of protests suggest it was stonewall! No other angles though to see if there was actual contact.

In my mind, it was poor marking with said player out of position; resulting in a poorly timed tackle =  grudgingly a penalty.
76  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: September 13, 2018, 16:00:24 pm
To satisfy Evers I will respond to your list with my view:
What we do know:
Probably only the middle one (4th) has an element of doubt.
What we don't know:
None of that are we necessarily entitled to know, but it would be nice if we knew some of it, especially the last one about Administration.

There you are VC - a nice bit of Precis for you!
77  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: September 13, 2018, 15:56:38 pm
That's fine. It is a discussion forum I believe.

Some of your comments on the Redev are not worthy or too risky for discussion. I do not remark or give opinions on the status of KT's tenure here as most probably I just dont know.  You need to read yr lenghty diatribe as its full of misleading opinions. You have been broadcasting the same message for over a year now 'a la Beds' to the extent it is highly boring. Why dont you give the playing side a chance? Surely at present that is a fertile ground for you?
78  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: September 13, 2018, 15:33:06 pm
What a cantankerous Sh1t you are, Everbrite.  You spend much of your time on this forum sniping at others and rarely express any view on redevelopment or ownership issues.  I am certainly not going to indulge you or speculate on what may or may not be afoot because I don't know what is happening.  I set out what is known and not known on the present state of affairs.  If anything is inaccurate let us readers share in your knowledge.

Typical response from you. Anybody who disagrees with your opinion(and its hardly that!) you go into a frenzy.
The simple fact is that you promoted a lenghty snipe at the owners/NTFC which you have bored many on here with your repetitive comments. Can you not change the record. As for opinions I would suggest I have given more opinions on the playing side - you go on and on about the Redev with nothing new or remotely interesting = prize bore Roll Eyes
79  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Injuries on: September 13, 2018, 15:25:27 pm
You really are such a bore

You are a fine one to comment - cynical old bore!
80  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Dean Austin on: September 13, 2018, 15:23:29 pm
i think its down to everything you have said, and a lack of both desire and effort

at 2-1 down and 3-1 down to cheltenham there was absolutely no desire shown by anyone to try and get us back into the game...............we were still happy to play 5 yard passes in slow motion between the 2 centre halves and crooks - who played deeper than any cheltenham player by about 20 yards - i think he must have made more passes than anyone, yet didnt affect the game is any way at all - just passing for passing sake.

no desire, no urgency, no application, no leadership, a lack of confidence resulting in a lack of responsibility on the pitch - with and without the ball.

You have been reading too much of "Nostradamus - 2018 edition"
