Accepting that Barton may in his role with the Trust have information that the rest of us are not privy to this does not alter the compelling need for DC to answer the questions put to him on via this site and by the Trust. If he continues to ignore supporters he may disappear with a sale but he may not be able to evade others such as NBC in the event that organisation got its act together. I know........pigs may fly

It is clear from the Trust's statement that the Cardozas have been making certain decisions that are of fundamental importance to NTFC Ltd and its future without reference to the other directors and without convening board meetings which would be the norm for a properly run company. That does not mean that the other directors should not have been more on the case but if the Cardozas were determined to run the business as their fiefdom in practical terms there was not a great deal the other directors could do other than resign. Perhaps the information which were are now aware of was the reason David Jackson resigned. Maybe we will know some day soon. On balance, whilst I am sure this was considered, I think Andy Clarke has done to right thing to remain. Better to be inside the tent than outside it although if the controlling directors are bent on keeping him in the dark he is in a very difficult position.

To add to my previous post - we must not lose sight of the fact that the Trust through the directorship of Andy Clarke is the only person that has any legal status with NTFC Ltd. We are at best distant commentators so far as the Cardozas are concerned. Don't throw out the baby with the bathwater.

Fair and reasonable comment TFAMY but I fear this may be a time to unite in our efforts rather than engage in internal supporter-supporter debates. My major concern is that if the take-over does not take place we will be immersed in a major financial crisis. The broad base of our supporters, if they are not already, will be very hostile to the Cardozas for reasons well tracked on this website over recent weeks. As to what NBC makes of the situation and what they may do as lenders adds to the uncertainty.

Or put another way NTFC could be or could have been paying £2.65 m more that it needs or should for whatever was going up called the East Stand. If 1st Land Ltd had not gone under we would be unaware of this. Potentially more than disgusting.

At times like this the Trust is an easy target but that is largely because it has drifted into being an ineffective body. It has to have more purpose than providing a travel service for away games and holding car-boot sales. These are not to be scorned at and we should not be over critical of fellow supporters willing to devote time and energy to the Trust's activities. It is rightly proud of being the first of its kind but you cannot live on past achievements. I think all would agree that it badly needs to up its game failing which it will continue to be irrelevant to most supporters.
