As I said back in July, who cares about the Carling Cup anyway...............oops...............that would be me dancing around the living room at approx 22:50 waking everyone up in the process. Ok maybe I care a little bit. Ditto

DL knows that Im fairly 'loud' I do indeed Drilling Nearly every match you made me laugh with some of the things (and language) you came out with because it was said in a moments passion, and in response to something on the pitch, more often than not appropriately. I think you can also vouch for that fact that I am often inclined to rant with a few explicitives myself but again it's a reaction rather than an intent. The difference with much of the language in the South West is that the football has nothing to do with the deliberate and constant use of every explicitive going just because some people think it's funny and 'cool' to use it.

Some of you on here really are miserable fcuks... At least there trying to make an atmosphere, take them away and the noise around the ground goes from minimal to none... Would you rather they fcuked off, meaning less bums on seats and less money for the club?
Out of touch I might be (although with the ages of my children perhaps not as much as you think) but if anyone thinks creating an atmosphere is based on the number of times you can shout 'f**k, C**t and w*nk*r in a sentence or singing 'go sh*g your mother you c**nts' is banter then I do feel sorry for you. This is the type of 'atmosphere' I have experienced in the South end of the West, maybe I just chose a bad day to go.

First time I've really seen him play too, and ... I don't get it yet either
Talented yes, standing out as Defoe did when he played for Brighton (as some of the coments might have you believe) ...No.

I don't think Guinan had a bad game today I certainly didn't see any significant improvement when Purcell came on. I thought the problem was the lack of any forward runs to support them.

At times a few signs of hope and on occassion unlucky. Overall a tad less boring than the Torquay match. At least today I felt like they were trying and the headless chickens had decided to stay at home. Had Stanley's keeper not made a couple of good saves in the first half we might be reviewing the match through claret tinted sunglasses ... ummm I mean umbrellas ... bloody August and School holiday weather ... roll on September

I have sat there a few times for cup matches Fred and I have to agree. I find it embarrasing and cringeworthy too. When oh when will people learn that mouthing off and shouting abuse trying to look 'cool' actually makes you look rather pathetic and stupid.

Ummm! Well I can't deny I think it's the right move for the club, if overdue, and hopefully TC. I have never envied anyone the role of being a Director of this club. I think Tony knows I disagreed with a number of the things he actioned in his time as General Manager, but then disagreements are often what makes the world go round.
Tony I hope, when the time is right, you can make a difference to the development plans not just for Sixfields but the town but please don't upset too many people by being too outspoken along the way. I think you know as well as most that often sleeping with the enemy can be more constructive than fighting them. That said I know first hand that when your passionate about something it's hard to control the words.
Ummm, does that sound like a lecture lol
Anyway Tony I wish you well with the Football in the Community work and whatever else you choose to do.
