Your thought is quite amusing really as he used to accuse me of being others but now understands that he was wrong back then.

He is a supporter, I am a supporter.

He is also good at challenging the sad act detractors. Anti fans!

Suspicious was Stevie Wonder by the way  Wink
Steve Wonder did "Superstition"

I think that NTFC territory village, rumoured to be very close to where Boudicca met her end (against Roma Ultras) is Paulerspury!

Old Stratford Cobbler will confirm!  Wink

Anybody got, or know of, 2 spare tickets for Saturday? A couple of season ticket holder friends of mine have missed out. And it's only Wednesday!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated by them. Thanks!

Can't say I've ever heard it on my numerous visits to Home Park...more along the lines of Janner...Janner!  Wink
Is that a West Country version of Jimmy Jimmy?

We'd be absolutely destroyed in the wide areas. Daniel is on fire and Solomon-Otabor would have a field day. Demontagnac has been drifting in from the right and Buchanan would never handle him. McWilliams is far too lightweight to play in a holding role (a position that initially I thought he would revel in.)
Demontagnac? Really?!!!!!

Sacking Jimmy was the only option .
He had lost the dressing room .
Austin and Brady are proper coaches and not personalities . It’s a great opportunity for them.
The players now have to show what they are made of because these guys will not take any shirkers .
It’s a pity it didn’t happen before today’s game but never mind
I think that we may have sacked him last week but it was the Walter Tull 100th Anniversary and it was Tinkerbaink's birthday on the 27th March.  Kelvin was just being decent! That nicety could have just cost us our place in League 1.

Tinkerbaink talking absolute s*** on Radio Numpty!!!!!!

11  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Posh away on: April 02, 2018, 13:58:39 pm
Your attitude is terrible!

Why? Seems a reasonable comment to me.
12  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Posh away on: April 01, 2018, 11:36:48 am
So what's the consensus of opinion as to who was crying after the match?
13  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Posh away on: April 01, 2018, 11:29:36 am
Absolutely right .
We have players balling in the dressing room and they have men that want to fight .
Anyone crying after Friday needs to man up top acting like a p*ssy on the pitch as well as off it
Shades of Rob Page's "Men against girls" quote. Very prophetic!
14  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: NTFC next manager on: April 01, 2018, 05:58:11 am
I'd say that is a pretty fair assumption. Nailed it Alfred!
That was Friday!
15  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: NTFC next manager on: April 01, 2018, 05:57:09 am
I call overachieving every season an absolute success .

I'd go Tisdale, Askey, McDonald or Keith Hill if any were available/possible.

Arthur Askey? Good suggestion. A lot better than the current incumbent! And he's been dead since 1982!
16  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: JIMMY OUT! on: March 30, 2018, 22:36:29 pm
Glasto has nailed it. There's no honesty from Jimmy. He couldn't comment when asked about not having a shot on target until the 60th minute  Grin
What there is, is the worst man management that I can remember from any NTFC manager in my life time.
Dreadful football.
A home record beyond embarrassing.
He made dreadful use of the biggest budget allowed to any NTFC manager. The fact that he didn't sign a single leader is embarrassing.
Persistence playing Matt Grimes.
Changing the team sheet every game rather than trying to generate some consistency.
He has slagged cobblers supporters off on a regular basis.
He is leading us to the most avoidable relegation in the club's history.
He is happy to have every outfield player defending corners even when 3 0 down, which is an absolute joke.

When we sacked Justin, I was delighted that we managed to land Jimmy. After his first three games I genuinely thought we'd make the top 6. But then it went spectacularly wrong and he's never recovered from that. It's a massive shame that he's been such a failure because it's costing us our place in League 1, something which took us 7 long years to get back to. I honestly can't see any defence for the guy and am stunned that he still has his job.

From a business perspective, he's got to go because KT will definitely be seeing a huge reduction in season ticket sales if he doesn't.

From a footballing perspective, he's got to go because if he doesn't, I can see us doing a Chesterfield under his stewardship and possibly having back to back relegations. I think he will be remembered as one of the worst managers in our history.
Totally agree with all that you say, Dan. Great post!
17  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: JIMMY OUT! on: March 25, 2018, 13:40:31 pm
Why is relegation for the best? The last time we meekly rolled out of this division without a fight it took us seven years to "regroup" and get back into a higher league and we even flirted with relegation from the football league twice.

Going down would cost us so much money. We need to cut our losses now, face the wrath of BAME and get on with getting a far better managment teamwho has been out of work for less than 24 hours down the M1 and get us back on track.

And we really need to have that in place by the weekend because on current form and Jimmy's complete  inability to manage a football team, we are in for a long afternoon on the wrong side of the Nene next Monday.

I'm not interested in watching us play Morecambe or Forest Green next season. Action now will allow us to regroup in the league we're in.
Could you please explain "a far better management team who has been out of work for less than 24 hours down the M1 and get us back on track"? Thanks.

Yesterday I made the decision to go and watch Brackley Town at Wealdstone and what an absolute pleasure it was. I haven't enjoyed a football match so much for a long time. Brackley are everything The Cobblers are not. Hard working, organised, motivated, passionate, entertaining, talented, together and clearly playing for their manager. Such a refreshing change from anything I have seen with Ntfc this season. In my opinion JFH will take us down to League 2, something that should not have ever been thought of at the beginning of the season. So he has to go and the sooner the better. He clearly has no clue how to get us out of this mess. Merely living off his name as a player. Get rid of all the loan players especially the hugely disappointing Grimes. They aren't good enough. Also get rid of Powell who is so inconsistent. And have a look at a young manager who is doing great things in the south of the county. The last guy who played for and managed Ntfc did quite well!!!

Any danger of discussing the Rotherham at home game or have I misread the title?
20  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Relegation Watch on: March 04, 2018, 12:18:17 pm
It's quite simple, we dismiss all doomsday talk, get behind the team big time and the Manager too. From the Chron report, the players or some of them did not appreciate the booing. Whether it was justified or not it doesn't help and hardly encourages them. Somebody said on here we need to get to away games in numbers. Let the players see and hear the strength of our support. We did it at Dagenham all 3000 of us so we can do it again.
Cobblers fans!! Please don't boo the management or the players as it may be construed as bullying and will make them cry!!!
