A very interesting and chilly evening. We were completely out of the game for the majority of the time. But I never felt like they presented a huge threat. And I thought we could nick a result.
Ref was a dick Lino was fùcking useless They’re support is woeful
But a point it is.

Wrong yet agin, I have posted on here numerous case studies of how ambitious clubs have raised capital.
Perhaps you could enlighten us, with a like for like comparison. So you'll be looking for a club that has no discernible assets. In an area that has a commercial planning waiting times the second longest in the UK. Built on a compost heap. With a decent cricket club, Rugby club, and the largest motor sport venue in the UK 15 minutes away from it. Sitting almost equidistant between the two largest cities in the UK. Go for it

You keep staying the bleeding obvious BUT never state where this funding could realistically come from!
I think Manny struggles with the reality of the current situation. That's why I likened him to Duston. See.... I like to have a discussion (along with a few others) highlighting how well we are doing. I always hope that the more cerebral types will know that I am doing so, taking it for read that I am giving a summary of our progress under the current managerial and ownership regime. For some reason, that is hard to comprehend by some. Who believe that they are the only ones clever enough, to realise that if in an alternative existence we had millions to invest into the team. Who would be playing in a bigger stadium. We wouldn't be sitting mid table in league one. Now, I have explained it quite a lot, and indicated that we are all aware of the mechanisms of growth for the club. But they still feel the need to keep enlightening us, by stating the fcuking obvious.

I am, but not sure, is there anything to stop Brighton from forcing an immediate return as the parent club?
I would assume if Portsmouth made a solid offer, with an agreement of sorts, he could be recalled to prevent injury. But I'm as thick as they come about this sort of stuff. So over to those that know stuff...

Yes, the length of time beyond that is restrictive because 1946/47 was the first season back after the war. My Dad unfortunately wasn't able to attend his first game until the 1947/48 season, 15 Nov v Notts County. He's also a Season Ticket Holder and attends every away game. I love to hear of these supporters. I’m a mere newcomer with my 55 odd years. The chap next to me, and the one behind me are both very long term supporters. Both have had health issues of late, but still come along and proper cheer us on. Let’s hope most of us can do the Cobblers as proud as Deepcuts father, and those around me..

Once again the it will do attitude, strive to be the best.
I sometimes wonder if you and Duston are one and the same. Nowhere in my post does it suggest an “it will do attitude”. It is so clearly about us excelling past our means. It states how with the right attitude and leadership we can box above what was/is expected. At the start of the season, there were plenty who would have expected this thread to have been true by now. And that was with the squad that it was assumed Brady would need just to keep us remotely buoyant. Yet we are currently in a strong position, without the luxury of fielding nowhere near our “best” side.

There is but money doesn’t half help.
Well... At the moment we are doing very well with what I keep getting reminded is only a small percentage of what our first team should be, if injury free. So what is the problem exactly?? The other day, I saw a chap come onto the pitch who wouldn't touch us with a barge poll under "normal" circumstances. But I would imagine that under the agreement we have with him, plenty of clubs would have given it a punt. But he chose us. As did the clubs that loaned out players to us, that are amongst our best currently. So whilst it is not ideal. I think we are doing very well. Until such a time that we are top of the Prem, the "we could do better mantra" will always be relevant.

There is no reason to suspect that we won’t attract similar quality in the future. Especially (as others have said) considering the way they have developed here.
But as I have said before. The biggest challenge will be retaining John Brady.

Absolutely great pair of signings. And their presence is so easily lost in the frequent debacles around lack of recruitment. They will be hugely missed. But for the moment, let’s enjoy their presence and definitely all they bring to the team.

That's a good observation but I dont think we actually play that much differently when Hoskins is absent. Each player still does their role the same but we do miss the energy and surging runs that Hoskins brings. I reckon the rest of the squad would feel insulted if it was genuinely suggested they dont play so well with him in the team. For what it's worth I would suggest the player that makes the biggest difference to the squad could be McWilliams. When he's on top of his game the work he does in the midfield is immense.
I think you would be surprised how they feel. Because I completely agree with Marvo. Just watch the pattern of play when Hoskins is in the side. Compared to when he is out of it. Hoskins is like a black hole. As soon as he receives the ball in the final third only one thing is going to happen. He’s going to try and score. Irrespective of any other player, or their position on the field, he will not release the ball. If anybody else has a pop at goal, he’ll stand in the area either looking disappointed, or he will gesture very clearly that he should have had the ball. When he is out of the side, we certainly play free flowing, inclusive football as a functioning outfit. And most importantly, we score more goals. There is no way he would have held up and distributed the ball like Simpson. And there’s very little chance that Leonard would have seen the ball for the third.

Be more impressed that I award myself about 13 weeks holiday each year. Although when I work a weekend, I don't always manage to give myself a couple of days off in the week. Swings and roundabouts.

Please yourself - if people can travel from abroad to attend it might mean your CV needs to be revised! Ever heard of a sick note or better still a 'knock'. Exactly Evers.. He's a bit of a Francophile as well. So hardly a surprise there's a bit of a soft underbelly when it comes to blood and guts local derby.
