Must have been mentioned on here somewhere. “Ours” what a fantastic documentary, one of the recent great BT sport documentaries. Not sure if they are repeats. But “Ours” will resonate with all of us and certainly a lesson in why mobilisation not negotiation works at our level and in our circumstances.

Mackintosh assured me in several emails that there was no intention of releasing the money in any single lump sum. He assured me that there was a specific committee set up to oversee the payments at phased periods during the development. Specifically to ensure that the terms of the loan agreement are met.

Have you asked yourself why they 'took on the club'?
I didn’t need to me old mucker. I posted at the time, and I have never said other wise. As you right well know, but refuse to accept that trawling the internet repeating the same old bollox hasn’t changed a thing. I say all the time that “I curse that day the land was a possibility” over and fcuking over again. I don’t blame them one bit. I blame the shyte lease and the carrot dangling from an inept local authority. That’s what attracts a certain type. But they are far from the worst of that type. Take my word for it, I know. Going after KT and DB has been a huge mistake from the start. That is both demonstrable and evidential. You have to cut the head off the serpent. Carry on posting how naughty they are. And in the meantime the Trust just needs to beg for their next audience with them, then moan about being ignored xx

The thing is Nigel, you KNOW there were others, so why try to stir it ?
I have honestly and truly never once seen an ounce of concrete evidence to confirm it Roger. At the time there was a number of names mentioned. I even had a crazily rich guy who said if worse comes to worse he’d give it a go. But none of them threw their names into the hat, when it come to the day of reckoning.

People seem to forget the circumstances the brought KT to the club. It was engineered by Wilder when we were on the brink of going out of business. Thomas, Wilder or Wailing have no affinity to the Cobblers so it's unfair to ask any of them to pour any more money into the club without getting at least some of their money back. After all there's a number of season ticket holders demanding a refund claiming they can't afford not to go to games. Of course it KT's "fault" for taking it on in the first place but let's not kick the arses of those who stopped us going into oblivion. There ought to be a way to say thank you, pay them off and move on. Whose going first?
That’s gonna cause a stir with the loud but lazy mob.. Well said that chap. I could have predicted. That would be followed up by the now expected phrase “there were others ready to step in”. Yeah yeah yeah.. Blah blah blah. Nobody in their right mind mind could say that KT and DB have got it completely right. But it is them who have took on the club. Everyone else chatting about it, are just playing fantasy football club owner..

I’m pretty sure it will pass by pretty much unpunished and without any significant sanctions. After all, they are the owners. What they did was greedy and I’ll advised, but it will have served to have reminded them who ultimately has control. These type of people are not used to being told no, and are even less used to not getting their own way. Believe me, the almost unanimous nature of the backlash will have left a huge impression on them. But in no way should it be assumed that this issue is gone for good.

These things can gain momentum over a very short period of time, or can require time and effort. Either way, if you are determined enough and you can get the support on side, you will prevail.
Clearly due to the high profile nature of these clubs, they captured a huge amount of attention rapidly. But as many other supporters have shown previously, in the absence of attention, tenacity is the key.

To say supporting the Cobblers is frustrating, would be a huge understatement. Of course, like so many clubs, we are capable of so much more. I have lost count of the false dawns that we have seen over the years. But most of all I find the more recent years worst of all. I think we have some great supporters, but on the whole, we resemble a dog that has had the fight kicked out of it. We are reduced to feeding off of scraps of hope, looking for any glimmer of hope, just in the vain hope of one crack at genuine success. I have and always will love the Cobblers. But I curse the day that fcuking land was ever mentioned. It has driven a wedge through the heart of what was once a very proud institution.
