Super Sam for England.

I assume Admiral Muskwe didn't impress.

Someone said Muskwe was the first half player No 45, No 43 and 48 were both second half.

Has anyone managed to figure out who trialists 48 and 43 were? We seem to have the rest covered.

I thought 48 looked ok, but No 43 hardly saw the ball - sort of like Harry Kane last night.

Personally I don't think the players are anything like as good as the hype surrounding them, not when they play for England anyway. There's been the odd flash, Bellingham's two goals, Watkins and Palmers goals and Guehe looks a star of the future. Pickford was easily the man of the match tonight, Kane, Bellingham and Foden dire.

Maybe a new manager with a more attacking mindset would get the best out of them but unless we appoint Klopp I don't see who else would be in the frame, no English manager springs to mind.

Having said that they did well to get to the final although they had the benefit of playing the weaker teams.

The last two games are against Warks (can't call them Birmingham. I was born in Warks) and Lancashire. We'll be lucky to get 2 points, let alone 4 against those two. Come on county, prove me wrong.

So the concensus is that 47 is Liam McCarron, still a year left on his Stoke contract? Loaner perhaps?

According to Wiki he signed a three year contract with Stoke on 29th June 2022 so would have a year left to run. He has hardly played a game anywhere, the most being 16 for Carlisle in 2018-19. I have to say I'm surprised at this as he looked a decent player to me. Wiki of course are not the most reliable of sources.

I see that Springett played the 2nd half for Norwich, how did he do?

If he was the lad on the left wing he did ok.

There's no doubt it was men against boys in the first half, we were way off the pace. It was a bit better in the second half, mainly I suspect because Norwich played a bunch of fringe players.

I'm not sure what Brady would have got from the game to be honest with six of our players not playing in the only pre season home friendly and six trialists replacing them, to play 5 in one team seems bizarre to me. I was disappointed not to see McGeehan, Wilson or Eaves.

I thought No 47 was the best of the trialists especially going forward where he looked lively, until he seemed to get starved of the ball, not sure about his defending though, I assume he was playing left wing back. No 44 looked ok at the back, and the right winger looked quite fast, No 48 tried hard enough and No 43 didn't see a lot of the ball, similar No 45 in the first half. I would need to see more of Dobson and Wyatt before making an opinion.

Good to see Tyler get 45 minutes and he didn't look too bad at all to me, Baldwin played in midfield I assume he will be a CB in the league.

It's important to remember we were playing Norwich a team I expect to be pushing for promotion to the Prem next season.

Roll up roll up, how many injuries are we going for?

They'll be one or two not playing due to 'minor knocks', hopefully all the new players will play at some point. It will be interesting to see if Tyler Magloire plays any part. I can't remember the last time we had a No 2 on the pitch. Also Brough, is he fit?

I'll be going, don't ask me to name any trialists though. I have trouble recognising our own these days.

I thought Eaves name came from the Rotherham forum and ditto Baldwin from Ross County.

With our Sam modelling the new home shirt, surely he's going nowhere.

First post with a random name. Either a relative, agent or someone proper in the know.
No idea who he is but a bit of youth!

I've never heard of him so I did a Google search and he is a centre mid for Palace, so fits the bill as one of the 5 signings we are after. The hold up might be due to the fact that Palace still have two England players at the Euros.

I wonder if Callum Morton will get the No 39 jersey like he had last time.

I will not be happy if we sell Sam at any price, well maybe £1M, and only then if the money is used to replace him.

No one in the current squad will get anywhere near the 37 goals that Sam has scored in the last two seasons.  Tell Huddersfield to do one, assuming it's true of course.

I watched Jack Baldwin play for Ross County in their play off games with Raith Rovers at the end of last season, the games were on Sky.

I quite enjoy the Scottish games as they offer something different with players I know nothing about. There is too much focus on Rangers and Celtic though,

Ross won 6 - 1 on aggregate and it was pretty much a non contest really with Jack Baldwin scoring in the first leg away at Raith, he was captain. I don't remember much else about the games other than the fact the commentators were getting all excited about a player called Yan Dhanda who had just agreed a move to Hearts.

If I had known JB would sign for us I would have paid more attention, hindsight and all that.

Sounds exciting and I shall look forward to whoever we sign, thanks ntfclad.

I bought a ticket for Norwich today and for the first time ever an away shirt, it must of just tipped the balance cash wise. I can just hear JB say, 'well if Grumpy has bought an away shirt we had better sign a few more' !!

Does anybody here actually rate Hondermark? a decent player in league 2 but my memories of him last season arenít anything i get excited about even if heís off the bench

He's alright as a sub, no more than that though for me.

Or Lintott

Yikes, I'd forgotten about Harvey. I have to say HL is much more likely, apologies to Aaron.

I've also been told we are actively trying to get rid of 1 more player and if so they will be replaced

If that's the case I can only think it must be McGowan.
