Well done to JB and team for what has turned out to be a very good window for us. We now have lots of options up front and if Keiron Bowie's injury is not as bad as first thought then that's a good thing too.
Thanks to the clubs for allowing us to have their players on loan, a nd that includes Brighton and Fulham who haven't recalled two players who performed well for us.
The big bonus for me though is that we have kept Sammy, I wonder if any bids came in?
JB's biggest problem now, assuming everyone stays fit, will be keeping everyone happy. A nice problem to have.

Never heard of Tete Yengi but I have seen his brother Kusini Yengi play for Adelaide United and Western Sydney Wanderers in the A league and he's a decent player.
Anyway welcome young man. Hopefully he may win a few headers.

Who?
If you mean Terry Stafford he had a hit with the song 'Suspicion' in 1964 , No 3 US and No 31 UK. It was also recorded by Elvis but not as a single. 'Suspicious minds' was not originally recorded by Elvis, but by the songwriter Mark James, a year earlier. I am old and know these things !!!!!!!

I must admit I have never heard of the lad myself, but he has played a few games for Barnsley in both the Championship and League 1 so they obviously saw something in him, as indeed does JB with a 2 and a half year contract. We have a good reputation for bringing young players on and I see no reason why this shouldn't be the case here. I shall look forward to seeing him play when he gets his chance.
Welcome to the Cobblers Will.

I think Jack is a really good player and on balance I am pleased he is staying.
The only problem for me is that we do not get enough games out of him per season due to his constant injuries. Let's hope he is available for every game until the end of the season.

Do you really believe that utter BS?
Not really, it's just a slight variation on the same old words and phrases that keep getting taken off the shelf every transfer window. I'm waiting for that moment at 1 minute past midnight on Feb 1st when we are told we just missed out on this or that target. Hopefully I am proved wrong as the squad definitely needs a boost.

If all our players were always fit then I would say we would be certain to finish in the top three. However we always seem to have three or four players injured at any time, with McWilliams, Magloire, Sowerby and Koiki being particularly injury prone. We also seem to have more than our fair share of illness.
In my opinion we need a couple of new players in this week, i.e. before the next game to give both the squad and the fans a boost. I don't mind personally if they are loans or permanent additions, and yes they have to be the right players but let's be honest there won't be any right players left if we dither too much longer.
The good news is it looks as if neither Leonard or Bowie will be recalled and we look like keeping Hoskins. Will Harrup ever get on the pitch?
It's play offs for me.

I can't say I'm disappointed it will give us a chance to get a few players fit and to bolster the squad with one or two additions. Mind you I felt something similar when the Walsall away game was called off as we had loads of injuries then and then when the actual game came round we were just as badly off.

Bold statment but we don't know who is available defensively. Just hoping that Guthrie and Shelling are ok. Same with the midfield. Would not like to be in JB's shoes if Mansfield win.
I was thinking the same Evers, lose on Saturday and the natives will be restless indeed. We might of course have some players back , such as Guthrie and Koiki might be fit enough to start but we still look light on numbers. JB seems to be banking on the squad being fit soon and that would be ok if they stayed fit but they never do, you can just see us picking up a raft of injuries the day after the window closes when it's too late to bolster the squad. Have we had a full squad to chose from all season? In my view if there is money to spend then let's get one or two in, even if they are loans. We still have over a week left though so time to pick up a gem or two yet. The only problem is games are ticking by.

Josh Kay was sent off against Leyton Orient and given a 6 match ban for making a sexual comment which he denied. It should have finished on Jan 7th so won't impact us if we sign him. Mind you he probably won't be match fit, but that's probably a bonus for us.

It's fairly simple, settings-Profile, I've just done it, you just need the picture on your computer.
I've used the programme cover from the first Cobblers game I ever went to, home match with Liverpool in 1966.
Thanks Marvo I may give it a try. I was at that game too, a 0-0 draw. It was however far from being my first game.

BBC sports says that the club are looking to extend Harrop's contract until the end of the season, apologies if this has been mentioned before
It's also on the Chronic website today. JB is hoping he will be in the squad for Saturday.

The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Salford City - 7 January 2023 1230hrs KO

I bloody hate Salford. They were selling adult tickets at £5 and yet they could still only muster just over 2200 fans, (the gate was 2753 and there were 529 Cobblers there), it's a tin pot ground with tin pot support and a large budget - if only we had their money. The pitch was awful but they had a lot of rain so that may not be their fault.
As for the game we were hopeless first half and were lucky to be only 2 - 1 down and that was thanks to a lucky Sam Hoskins goal - albeit he deserved one of those for all the great goals he has scored this season. It is also true to say he maybe should have had another but the goalie made a save, but should he have been able too.? Anyway difficult to criticize him really.
Second half we were much the better team and there is no doubt in my mind that had Eppiah's goal stood we would have won - even without the obvious red card and penalty. Salford were as bad second half as we were in the first.
When Koiki is fit I would like to see him back at left back and AK moved over to the right. McGowan isn't the player he was since the injury - so far anyway. Keiron Bowie seems to have disappeared in the last few games although it's fair to say maybe today's pitch didn't suit him. As for Hylton he has been a massive disappointment, maybe JB can ship him out on loan to Brackley or Kettering - should they want him - as I said earlier I don't remember him touching the ball.
Magloire (for Sherring) and McWilliams must come straight back in as soon as they are fit and if Burge is going to be out for any length of time do we need a loan keeper? Maxted did nothing wrong today but then he wasn't tested.
In my opinion it's vital we keep Sammy but if we do sell him on (for big bucks only please) JB MUST be able to invest the money in replacements' and yes I know it's not easy in January.
Leonard is another we must keep.
