I actually thought he was lucky to stay on the pitch today, from where I was sitting that looked an horrendous tackle on Danny Green. It made quite a noise as well. I also thought from that moment on the ref gave us nothing.

The best centre half for me was Terry Branston.

Well I can't read the 'big' screen that well as for me it's too small. You should see the size of the ones in Australia when BT show the A league games , some are massive and behind the goals at each end where they should be. As for the PA system along with all those around me in the West I can never hear a thing, complete waste of time.

However I won't be invading the pitch, would take too long to get there ! !

Just goes to show the effect a good pitch can have on a teams performance, in L2 at least, as the Cobblers win the league and Bristol Rovers and Oxford could well finish second and third.

I know he's not on your list but Roy O'Donovan scored 2 today, one a cracker. He also scored last week so he now has 7 out of the 17 games he has played for Central Coast Mariners in the A league. He was banned for 8 games so has missed a few. His team are rubbish though , having managed to successfully secure the wooden spoon with about 4 games to go.

Sorry if it's been said before but Luke Wilkinson was on loan to us in 2010 but never played a game.

The Cobblers had a goal disallowed in similar circumstances once, but I cannot remember the game. It was a fair while ago.

Yes I know Dagenham beat us but Cobbler 150 was asking about teams 'in and around us' and the last time I looked Dagenham were near the bottom. I was in Los Angeles when the Dagenham game was played and I must say the weather was a damn site better than it was today.

What happened to Holmes then ? There is no report of him being substituted and nothing about him on the official site.

Holmes was saying after the match that he had flu like symptoms in the run up to the game and only declared himself fit just before the match. He said he was knackered (my word not his) after 60 mins and the plan was always to take him off with about 30 to go. In that case , well done Ricky. He said he will be fit for Tuesday .

O'Donovan has received an 8 match ban for that head butt in the last game. They may as well sack him.

I was actually watching that game when it was live on BT. The camera's didn't pick it up at first as play had moved on a bit and the camera's were focussed on where the ball was, as indeed were the officials who couldn't have seen it either. I have to say if the ref never saw the incident it is difficult to see how he could have given a card at all but it certainly deserved a red. O'Donovan has scored 4 goals in about 12 matches for Central Coast Mariners and is just about their only striker if you can call him that. It certainly explains why they are rock bottom of the league.

Holmes for me, he's just such an exciting player to watch.
