1  The Hotel End / Other Football & Sport / Re: Referees on: Yesterday at 19:10:54
I have no time for this part of the game. Until such time as the FA back the refs and allow them to grow some balls and penalise players for dissent and talking back to the ref this will continue. It is one area that football can learn from the egg chasers.

Actually I was quite enjoying this thread. OK 78 was a knob, but an entertaining knob.
10  General Category / General Chat / Re: The Hotel End Biker Club on: February 13, 2018, 20:58:43 pm
Have had many bikes since the 70's, i did have a Honda Goldwing until June 2017, hence the tag name, traded in and now and ride a BMW K1600. Perhaps us Cobblers fans with bikes should get together and have a ride out to an away game sometime.  Smiley

I used to go to away games in the 80s on my Suzuki GS750

I remember the trip to the Tan Hill on the way to Darlington. There was a picture taken with an NTFC flag outside the pub, don't suppose anyone has it still do they?

I can remember Linda posting it on Facebook.

Surely that applies to all Cobblers fans.

Do the bookies take a bit of a flyer with the first few games of the season? Realistically the form book has been wiped clean by transfers, new managers and teams playing in different divisions.
Just for fun, if you had backed the Cobblers a tenner to win in every game last season you would have need there to be average odds on the win of 5/2 to have come out 30 quid on top.
18  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: February 11, 2018, 14:04:49 pm
I don't disagree with you but when KT is begging fans to lobby the council I think we need to know a bit more about what we are lobbying for.
Your abuse of Bedds does you no favours either.
Unfortunately Beds comes up with ideas(some of them good, some of them unbelievable), theories and at times outright accusations about KT and the holders of the shares in NTFC, but seems to refuse to use his only true source of contact. I am sure if he wrote to KT with his concerns he would get some answers.

As an individual, you're correct I have no right to demand a fair deal for our football club but collectively the town and county of Northampton,  its people who cares about local sport, NTFC its supporters who would like a more progressive future, NTFCST who have a duty to fight for the clubs future well being etc etc... You must get the jist now, Open honest dialogue as to what all the above people  can expect  is seriously long overdue after all the previous shenanigans at our club.
As an individual you do have the right to demand anything you want(wether you get or not is another matter). What you said in your previous post is that you have the right to negotiate which patently you do not.
Had we not had the Cordoza incident and we where just an everyday league club no one would be demanding open and honest dialogue it would just be business as usual until the finalised plans for any investment is revealed. It seems to me that some on here are being rather quick to tar KT with the same bursh as DC.
NTFCST do have a role to play in the management of the club and this would be  greatly improved by have seats on the board. However whilst they can put forward sugestions and act as the voice of the fans, they will not ever be able effect the outcome of a vote by the shareholders. It is the shareholders(irrespective of how those shares are divided who own and run the club. You must get the gist now(hopefully).
I wonder will you be taking Deepcut's generous offer?
19  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: February 11, 2018, 10:29:09 am
Probably for the same reason Thomas expects the clubs supporters to put pressure the council to help facilitate the releasing the parcels of land leases to allow him and his cohorts to do whatever it is they intend doing  without us knowing what the outcome for the club will be.
The recent statement by the NTFCST have claimed to be in the know as to these secretive plans and what it holds for the clubs future, but are currently witholding their findings from their members and club supporters.

Maybe in your deluded little world that gives you the right to negotiate, but in th real world it does not. If you want to have a some control over how the club is run dig deep into your pockets and buy it. Until such time the obvious avenue for you is to contact KT directly with you questions. Oh, I forgot you chickened out at doing that.
